Hozuki's Coolheadedness
| Currently rated at like a 6.7X Why? I just watched episodes 1 and 2 and laughed pretty hard at most of it i don't see whats to hate? The MC is pretty entertaining to me |

| because the majority of MAL user can't handle smart jokes. They also couldn't appreciate unique art with vivid color, their brain are already contaminated with all those cheap moe anime |

| It's MAL scores after all, those are never to be trusted, especially with shows like Hozuki no Reitetsu, which is actually genius. I'm giving this show a huge thumbs up, it's already one of my favorites this season. |
| It's insane to think the average score on MAL has any weight on anything. It's a statistic that brings the most popular shows on the top. Then there are as many rating systems in place as there are people rating. And as you well know, every single one of them is a professional critic. There might also be something to be said about people who rate a show 2 episodes in, but nevertheless it's worthless to even be talking about this. |
| You shouldn't care what other people rate this, I'm enjoying it and that should be enough. Besides in my opinion most people here aren't very patient. I don't like to judge with 1 episode and I thought episode 2 was funnier and better |

| I was surprised as well, especially that the manga is very popular in my area (Osaka) and I have even seen girls fawn over Houzuki. Akanezora said: MAL scores doesn't matter. | I love it so for so I'm not sure why. It reminds me a lot of Gintama comedy-wise: a lot of cultural humor that might not translate well into English or that someone might not understand if they don't have much knowledge about Japanese folklore, history, etc. Sometimes Japanese comedy is a little dry/deadpan but sometimes that direct way of delivering the punchline is exactly what makes it funny. I would say give it a chance because I found myself laughing a lot more during the second episode. |

No, you can change it at anytime, so as the anime goes, you can adjust it to the end and even after that. So I don't see it as a problem. While it's airing everyone's on the same playing field. I know that. It was that you basically asked why people do it, so I answered. People adjust their score as they go, it reflects how good they see the anime as at that time. If it was really a personal thing then you didn't really need to ask it because you know other people have their own personal things. It's like asking why would people even like this anime. |

| I'm sure if we give it a few more weeks, the score may climb, but I don't see it getting scored higher than a seven/seven-point-five. It's been a fine start thus far, caught snug in between. |

| I can understand why this may not be popular outside Japan as the humor and puns are somewhat Japanese based. The more understanding you have of the Japanese humor and culture the more you find shows like this entertaining. So it is maybe more a cultural issue than a taste issue or moe-shit brain washed the mass. |

| I do think it's underrated as hell. When it was in status "completed" yesterday it raised up to the top #900s But it's back to #1800 now that's it's running again. I'm pretty sure it'll go back up when it's completed nxt week ^^ |

I gave it 6, but 6 its still good in my opinion. I don't my rating won't change much until the last episode. Also, the humor is good, but if seen much better, that's why I gave it a 6. I rarely laugh, only a good comedy anime makes me laugh hard nowadays, even though giving it 6 I still laugh sometimes. |

| I like the show, it's kind of mellow for me though. I have to be in the right mood to watch it. The mere prospect of watching it doesn't really excite me. I'd rate the show as a 7 |

| it's one of those anime that you'd have to be really familiar with japanese tradition/culture/joke or grow up there to get the most out of.... otherwise is mostly meh imo ofc.. |
