THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- "You, girl with the chest as flat as the silent sea." hahaha, that's incredibly witty. bleh, this was mostly a transition for the shitstorm that will come in the episodes leading up to the finale. not only that, it was a stark contrast to the GRIMDARK atmosphere of the previous one with the lighthearted comedy that Slayers has always had. Rezo had a sense of humor. who knew? heh. nonetheless, only the beginning and the end of the episode actually advanced the overall plot, and if it implied anything, Modified by Avarice, 03-15-09, 11:40 AM |

Funny episode XD I didn't know that Rezo has such personality too, and Zelgadis said that Rezo actually likes to collect weird things. |

So we went from Next awesomeness to Try mediocrity.... Oh well lets hope for a ending of Next proportions. At least Ozel is being cute as heck lately. |

Wonder if there is any chance for nonfiller Slayers season anymore. Seriously, is in Revolution/Evolution-R any episode which follows novels? Putting that aside, blind kid after this whole comedy drift was striking. Also Ozel abducted by bunch of idiot bandits who don't give a damn about Lina's name? Weird episode. Ii tenki desu ne... |

I've been wondering myselef about that, if Revolution and Evolution-R have been following the novels at all. I heard Try wasn't in the novels, and I hear JC Staff has gone off-track with Zero no Tsukaima as well (also based on a novel series, and the adaptation has gone horribly wrong from what I hear). I just hope the animators know what in the hell they are doing, because so far these new seasons just seem totally off track from the first 3. And yes, it was strange how the bandits did't react to Lina's name... ![]() |

Of course there were no such things as Ozel and the jar. :/ SMALL BOMBS did it! |

(I had a felling Ozel and the Hellmaster's Jar was an anime invention too) One of these days I really need to get myselef to read them, I have the first 3 sitting on my bookcase ready to read (the first novel I have half done...) *lacks patience to read novels/is slow reader* ![]() |

We still don't have to forget this is happening into a new world. Where as in the first 2 Lina was traveling only in the magical barier, but now she travels all over the world, and it is kind of real that not everyone will know about her. Still, Rezo making all of that nonsense, it is weird. Somwhow, the last two seanons are really drifting away from the Slayers tipical plot. This makes me angry. Where has the old type Slayers gone? |
