I'm curious about this series. I generally go for more mature (in the sensible grown-up sense, not the porn sense) things, and I've read that this is meant to be quite different from the usual teenage focus many series have. Other stuff that I've seen and I'd maybe describe as being like this is Hataraki Man, Lain, or stuff by Satoshi Kon or Mamoru Oshii. Is it worth getting in that respect? I suppose what I'm asking is, does it really stand up to scrutiny as a serious series, or is what I'm reading people who are too young for it making it out to be more complex and mature than it really is? It's not that I mind watching something that's not that serious or meaningful, I just hate it when I expect something to be more complex than it eventually turns out to be. So yeah. Any opinions, anyone? |

I've watched 5 episodes so far, and it's a very decent slice of life seinen it might not possess some too deep themes, but it's still quite touching and mature........it's very realistic(probably the strongest aspect of this series) and gives a really satisfying experience also, the chars are very nicely done definitely worth a watch...but as I said, don't expect some heavy psychologic piece hope I was helpful ^^ Modified by Turkish, 01-04-08, 9:16 PM ![]() |

I just wrote a review for it, if you're still wondering about it. It says my main thoughts about it, but I can write more if you're still not convinced. ^^ This is one of my all time favourite seinen series... I think that says it all. |

...See if you can find the live action movie adaptation, too. I was able to catch that one on an international plane trip. |
