| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Seemed to be a bit cleverer this time around, although still a little bit ponderous. Now that Williams is coming up to the plate, I get to start hoping in vain for Tokuchi to expose the Bloomers' cheating and be done with it. This series has not done cheat battles well. On an unrelated note, I have a crackpot theory as to what the contractual hole is. Seeing the manager happy with a Tokuchi strikeout gave me this idea, and it explains my nagging doubts about . What if he's making the OO contract rates negative for these games, so that every successful out Tokuchi pitches actually loses money. It would explain why Tokuchi didn't volunteer to go in sooner when he could have easily stopped the Bloomers' 6-run streak. |

| Nice Episode xD about the contract i dont think its a negative rate because on the previous episodes Owner was hopping Mihara put Tokuchi to exhausted him if the plan of Owner is a negative rate why he was trying to exhausted Tokuchi dont make sense for me xD for me t its something about tokuchi cant finish the game or something like that |

| I"m with juu...the schtick is getting old. We wasted much of this episode on the wiretap still, when I thought we cleared that hurdle on the last one. With just 3 episodes left, I don't really see how this will end in a way that satisfies me. |
| Although i never taught about the Ball Boys, the anime is losing the fluency and the high amount of stuff going on in a single episode that were present on Akagi an Kaiji. |

| Have to agree that the pacing is getting ever slower, though 'We'll have them pay for this' onwards did redeem it some. Anything said: True! Their calculations for which sign system to use were getting so complicated, but slide signs to the rescue.. really do learn something new with each episode!So how many more tricks do they have in the stadium? =.= Lol, I was starting to think there was a wire in his hat or a tiny robot following the manager.. though the ball boys does seem more logical. :P Hummm want to know what the owner is planning -_- |

| This series feels used-up to me. The spy was my first guess last episode, so it was hardly a surprise at all this one. And the new strategy guy is a retard. How could he not figure out that the players are ignoring the signs? All he has to do is stop giving them advice, and at least the game will be even again. | Tokuchi really knows how to use the other teams advantage against them. It's hard to guess exactly what obstacles Tokuchi will have to face next, but I have confidence that he'll pull through like always. |

| Some of Toua's devilish smirks make him look like such a badass this episode. Tokuchi once again being a clever bastard! Telling everyone to slide the manager's signs completely mindfucking Shirooka! No one expects the ballboy. Great episode once again. Excited to find out what else the Blue Mars has in store for the Lycaons and what the owner is plotting to bring down Tokuchi. 8/10 cyruz said: The no fun parade has returned! | Same, guessing the batter will "accidentally" let go of his bat and hit Tokuchi. I feel like he is going to hope for a lose this game, then force an injured tokuchi to pitch (when he can't) and then will be fined the 500 million yen as well as lose his accumulated wage. |

| I didn't get the scene with Rodrigo on bat. Toua said he will finish Rodrigo in three pitches. But the first and second pitches were foul so how come the third is strikeout where it is supposed to be the first strike. I dont really know the rules in baseball but after watching Diamond no ace and Major, I came to a conclusion that you can have as many fouls as you want. Apparently, i missed something important in the rules of fouls. Update: I found my answer 😅. The fouls hit will be counted as a strike unless the batter already has two strikes. Should have made my research first😐 |

| I was thinking that the Owner probably planted the bug on the Assistant Coach but finding out that the ballboys were behind it was a pretty comforting thing since that means that there were no spies in the team. It's surprising that Shirooka has a little brother that looks just like him with a very similar job as well but he really doesn't play by the book. They're catching up but the Owner just laughed it off. I wonder what they have planned. |
