| It's finally here and the wait was totally worth it. Didn't expect them to go all out with their style on this one but it turned out great. Seeing as I whole-heartedly love their animation style and that Nisekoi has been my guilty pleasure for months, this is a total win for me. Chitoge is the best! <3 Cannot wait for more! :) |
| Thoughts: 0:03 serious right from the start… I like 3:49 students who go to school always carry toast in their mouths… only in japan 4:51 the way the camera is moving… feels like bakemonogatari, which is annoying… really strains the eyes 6:00 wtf… always a transfer student. Every anime is always in a school with a transfer student… cliches everywhere 6:21 if anyone here in this forum can speak both japanese and english fluently, I hate u. When I get fluent in japanese, my hikkikomori skills will level up 16:35 weather sure does change fast when people get mad 18:24 great use of english and the middle finger by Chitoge 20:04 onodera is so sweet, of course she had to be the girl in the beginning of this ep. 20:56 having the whole 'yakuza gang thing' in the story was to force a fake love or nisekoi...kinda boring…...eh. ---------------- Overall: 1. All the bickering between the ichijo & kirisaki came across as annoying. I like tsunderes but if not enough of the soft side is shown… the character becomes a bitch 2. Don't like the 'bakemonogatari' camera shots. Too many images flashing at once & randomly. Seriously, I'm surprised people don't get a seizure when watching stuff like that. 3. The ED song by Claris was great 4. Voice acting, music & graphics are super good. The characters are annoying as shit because of the bickering except for onodera. Story seems boring. Having to watch ichijo and kirisaki argue every time they meet is hell. Graphics look so good tho. Cuz of that, I'll keep going with this series. Ep1: 3/10 |

Even in the manga, now over 100 chapters and counting, we still don't know who he made the promise with. I wonder how the anime will adapt the story though. If they want to stay faithful, more seasons are pretty much confirmed, unless they want to end it with nothing happening at all. At least I hope it isn't Onodera the promised girl or the story will have no originality. |

| This just feels like a really average wacky romcom run through the same old Shaft filter. Its kind of watchable compared to a lot of stuff this season but far from anything remotely approaching what I'd consider good let alone a masterpiece. |

The story and jokes are still pretty bad, but it's easy to take things seriously in Shaft's adaptation. Added nuances and character interactions made it much more enjoyable than reading the manga. |
| Not a bad first ep. There's potential for some good comedy here compared to some of the garbage that's come out this season. Shaft as always has some very nice background art and the VA's do a pretty decent job. |

| I already knew about the marriage thing as a kid from the summary but jeez, hearing it in anime itself just makes me mentally facepalm. Chitoge flip. Twas expected for her to land on him. I guess that's a new way of eating bread and running to school and bumping into a guy. Ah Shaft, how you love adding Kana Hanazawa to your cast. Transfer student cliche/trope. Eh. I'm finding the OST very fun. Dat Sayonaro Zetsubo Sensei parody and dat head tilt. Oh Shaft you. Fuck yea! ClariS ending song! Overall, pretty cliche'd plot/story/characters but fuck who cares, SHAFT! |

| I'm surprised some people don't like what Shaft has done so far with this adaption. I personally love what they brought to the series animation wise, it makes the series more enjoyable than the manga. I wonder how many episodes this will get and how many chapters it'll adapt. |

| lol kinda wish I didn't read the manga in order to enjoy the moments more.. but happy with how its adapted so far, love art shaft and their classic comedic style. Although with how dragged the manga is I hope shaft kinda diverges their own story/ending just abit later on in the series to make it more interesting. So far so good<3 |
