(spoilers) Sword Art Online Light Novels & Rape

I really don't like rape scenes. The first attempted on in ALO was difficult for me, but I decided to keep reading the books because I doubted it would happen again. But when I got to book 10 or 11, two innocent 16 year old girls are tied up and about to be raped - in front of their mentors - by two slime-balls.

I'm aware I probably have a more intense negative reaction to this in books, but everyone has their things they really can't stand in media and rape is mine, especially with young girls.

If anyone has read ahead of where I am, please let me know if another rape is attempted. If so, I will think about holding off on reading them until I'm in a better mood, if at all. Thanks so much for your help!

If you are disgusted by that than you should be thankful that they altered that scene, because in the web novel Ronye and Tieze had already been raped (off screen) by the time Eugeo got there.

I'm guessing it had to do with Kuradeel? Though the most he did to her was obsessive stalking. As for Yuuki, she didn't contract AIDS through sexual means, it was a blood transfusion.

And her friend got AIDS by Blood transfusion, what the hell is wrong with that and how this has something to do with "Rape"?!

Sinon almost got killed, not raped, btw.

Welp I have to agree with you! Being a non Japanese speaker I've only seen what's in the current English LN's and the show and by far they are the one thing I wish just wasn't in it. The two tentacle things and the Oberon scene in ALO were genuinely one of the hardest things I've ever found myself to watch. While Sinon's wasn't quite as bad I just found myself thinking why the whole time. Ah well. It's still a good series! Even with some pointless rape >~>
