having a hard time comprehending why this show is rated so low?

So I checked all the reviews (more than 10 of them) and all of them are rated from 7 to 9, which are not bad scores. I have only watched the first episode so far, but the realism (depiction of university life in 1986) really impressed me. I doubt this would be just another generic harem anime like so many others. Yet, this anime is ranked at #3251 place, which is not a good standing.

Why?

but anyways, that's a dumb reaction ... people cheat often in real life too, surely they realized?

btw i am now even more pumped. it's 12:15am currently what the hell i'll stay up and finish this.

Agreed.

I think in short its because its not your 'usual' anime.
Also, after talking with my friends who dropped this anime, they all have the same reason, the NTR/cheating MC.
I mean I am not saying they are wrong, the MC does cheat with a lot of girls. But I think we need to see the bigger picture here. He didn't cheat just because he is just some unfaithful asshole guy who you see IRL, he was a good guy too IMO but the situation kinda forced him to be like that (though if only he is stronger he might not be like that). Not to mention the setting also supports his situation very well. If this anime took place on say after 2000s, I don't think I can tolerate him. Well I hate him too tbh, but that doesnt make me hate the series.
Also aside from the story, other aspects like art, music, directions, presentation, etc are really great for me, making it stands out from other series (this and WA2 are by far best series for me, both has their own pluses and minuses tho).

That aside, I think the majority of people who hate this only saw:
1. The story are so slow and boring, makes you sleepy.
2. Its all about a scumbag MC who cheats with every girl that she met.
Then they drop this show.

Anyway how is your opinion about this, bunny_lover? Oh also there are much more on season 2 :p

because this is no different than fsn anime from studio DEEN? combined all of heroines routes and adding an original anime exclusive scenes.

It's a dating simulation game where there are other heroines although the main character already had a girlfriend since the prologue in the first place. So in the original game it's your choices between continuing your relationship with the gf or falling with the others and break up with the gf. Combining it in one storyline is just too hard to pull (theres few exceptions like Clannad though)

White Album really is a nice anime. I gave it a 7/10.
There are some parts that are really boring, just finish the series and you won't regret it. I'm for the season 2 now. :)

I just started watching this and I was wondering is this connected to White Album 2?
I can see there is White Album 2nd season and I am guessing it is the continuation o this series but what is White Album 2 then? Some kind of spin off?

Why?

Because it sucks? All o the character is annoying (Except maybe Haruka), the story is confusing and also most of the conversations incomprehensible. It's Boring. Touya is the worst anime MC that i ever see in my life... Not just because he cheats girls. I also hate Yuki and Yayoi too.
