| Decent recap of the series for the most part. The last 20 minutes or so were especially entertaining. I'm glad Yui got to ride a whale :) Whales are cool. |

| Too much recapping. I was hoping to see more of New Aincrad and the characters fighting monsters and stuff. One thing I always wanted to know after the SAO's castle appeared in Alfheim is: Do the bosses from the old SAO game get stronger? Because now that the characters can use magic, it would make things easier for SAO veterans, right? I mean, they defeated the bosses all the way up to level 70-something WITHOUT magic of any kind. So would having magic and flight ability make things too easy now? So to make the playing field level for both sides, maybe the bosses get magic spells too? Do they? That's what I want to know. UNFORTUNATELY, since the second season is about Gun Gale, it looks like my question will never be answered. *sniffle* |

| Wow. Solid hour of recap. I mean, recap's good and all when you're actually specifically looking for it, but to have so much of it? Derp; ended up skipping most all of the recap with the exception of the "new" scenes with him talking to that important (?) guy. I definitely watched this for the mission at the end, but even that was kind of disappointing. It was entertaining for a bit, but overall underwhelming. The seed. The wat. I either wasn't paying enough attention to the first SAO or they just decided to insert something significant in passing. |

| Was re-watching both arcs of SAO today, so I thought I'd check the Extra Edition out. Total waste of time, imho. 75% recap. 15% fan service. 10% new content that rates a "meh." |

| I don't remember SAO being this boring. I prefer SAO/ALO Kirito much better. The girls are annoying too, they talk about nothing but Kirito. -_- Was the flashback of Sugu falling into a pond necessary? Not only that, she showed no sign of resistance. I have enjoyed SAO, but find this one boring, the new content anyway, I just skip over the recaps. I thought why not watch this first before going into the second season. Hopefully SAO II isn't as boring as this. |

| What a long recap with extra new content though. So while the girls were busy having fun in the pool, Kirito was stuck explaining what happened. But that underwater quest was pretty awesome because of Nerakk transforming into Kraken the Abyssal Lord. Good thing Leviathan the Sea Lord intervened, otherwise Kirito and friends were screwed. ALO hype leading to GGO hype! |

| Hmmm, i like recaps but from different perspective but this was good. Its not that i watched season 1 today and i needed to remember anything but those extra scenes were good. I wish they make mmorpg with proximity voip. Damn, that would be good. |

| Watched this in preparation for season 2. As it turns out it was pretty much just a clipshow until the last 20 minutes or so so I skipped most of that. What new footage we got was alright, nothing great. 5/10 or so seems about right. |
| I really liked it, and enjoyed hearing the songs again, had forgotten some of it since it seems like forever ago I watched the first season and thought I'd watch it before starting the second. Klein was so disappointed when they put their armour back on lol. I liked the original bit at the end and teaching her to swim. Not sure I liked Asuna with blue hair. |

| This was cute, but not good. Not bad either. But mostly outright unnecessary. I can hardly agree with other people saying it was all about recapping or fanservice though. It was like 60% recap, 40% unique content. The fanservice that is present is quite short lasted. And people, girls in bikinis isn't fanservice. Go to a beach. But there are a few true fanservice moments. Doesn't make it worth watching though. What DOES make this worth watching is the final 40 minutes after that hour long recap, which is skipped through easily enough. Still only giving this a 5/10, but I think that's what it deserves. |

| I have absolutely nothing to say about this. It was literally just a recap of SAO but worse, with extra unnecessary fanservice, which also happens to be something I'm usually not particular to. I enjoyed the last 20 minutes, at least. 6/10. |
| I am definitely NOT feeling the blue hair, Asuna. I found it hilarious how both Klein and Sanji (One Piece) share the same Seiyuu had to act out the part of their character simping for a “mermaid”. |
| They summed up the entire first season, I think it was good for us to remember some details. I wonder what would have happened if Lisbeth had been Kirito's girlfriend, because it was noticed that she was a pervert with the 2 obscene jokes she made to her sister, luckily she stayed with Asuna. The end I think was not so necessary, but it was good. |

| Its a pretty decent recap ep. I binged season 1 and part of season 2 a couple years ago and found it to help me recall all the characters and events. |

| I am fine with the recap, but this was supposed to have something more than just recap, and that 'something more' was utterly pointless and anticlimactic as f*ck. They cucked me with the mindless action with the Kraken and literally gift wraps the whale with a ribbon on top. The ecchi fanservice was bad compared to the actual show. The actual poster is the highlight. Kirito in a dirt bike[or something similar] is the comedy highlight from the whole show. Seeing Kirito and a dirt bike on the same frame was the last thing I expected. |

| That was a very nice recap IMO, especially for somebody like me who hasn't watched the first season for quite some time. I probably even enjoyed slightly more than the main series lol. |
| It would have been foolish of me to think this special wouldn't have fanservice and it didn't even take that long, lol. It was an alright summary, liked the parts where Kirito was talking with Kikuoka, wasn't interested for the other part and a quest to end it all. I liked that Kikuoka asked the questions that weren't answered in the anime. |

| Now now, I didn't need 100 mins to be reminded that Suguha was best girl. It was definitely nice to see her level up her irl swimming though. Would have preferred a bit more emphasis on Kirito & Suguha bonding, but at least the ALO side quest was only a fraction of the movie. 6/10 |
