| So I finished H&C recently and it was my first josei. I thought it was amazing. Recently have been watching Nodame Cantabile and am also enjoying it a lot. Currently being super torn between deciding which one I like better. (I'm just that way) So basically for all of you josei watchers, which did you prefer and why? Nodame vs H&C Posting in this forum might result in bias so I'm going to start a discussion such as this in the Nodame forums as well. Once a couple of votes are casted I'll give a link to the other forum so people can read the opposing bias/neutral thoughts on the matter. |
| Nodame Cantabile for sure. I found it stronger than H&C in almost all aspects. (I did like them both) H&C tried to focus on more than two protagonists and succeeded but I felt like Nodame Cantabile's main characters were more interesting and fun to watch. I'm more of a musician compared to being an artist so Nodame Cantabile was more relatable to me, since I'm also into conducting and playing in an orchestra. |
| H&C by the proverbial mile. H&C has better characters, music, comedy and monologues. I'd say its between H&C and Nana for the top. The rest are behind by some distance. |
