Well seeing as I was able to finish up Noble Works a few hours before the end of the year last night, I figured I might as well kick 2016 off with a bang and finally get around to reading Baldr Sky after now having delayed it for like a year already

I'm currently playing Hanachirasu, I'm liking it so far. Still have other ten VNs or so to finish, next one probably will be Sengoku Koihime.

If you were to compare Noble Works to other VNs, what is it similar to?

Are there some legit good stories hidden in there, or is it just your typical choose-a-heroine romance VN?

More on topic: I'm not reading anything right now. Literally only read two VNs in 2015 I believe, so yea.

Noble Works is essentially a charage that boasts more of the great characters instead of superb story. For actual story though, there were one or two routes that surely did develop a pretty good setup to some degree, but with one of those being abruptly ended so that doesn't really say much.

It's essentially that, a "choose-a-heroine romance VN", just with great heroines and a more fun setup that actually is believable to some degree (at least, up until VN logic goes) and with top-tier aesthetics to boot.

I'd call it a mixture of Dracu-Riot and Princess Evangile. Story-wise it doesn't have much going for it but it has great art and likeable heroines, and that's pretty clearly the appeal their going for

I haven't checked out Dracu-Riot but I am going through Princess Evangile right now and i can pretty much agree with this.

Noble Works is alright but don't expect anything serious out of it, its mostly lighthearted through and through with an emphasis on "likable" characters.

But yeah, going through Princess Evangile so far at a fairly slow pace. Its alright so far i guess...

If you haven't gone through Da Capo II, I'll say that i liked it a bit better than the first one so if you liked the first one, you'll probably really enjoy it.

Is Noble works similar to hayate no gotoku? love-comedy butler? since i quite liked hayate no gotoku.

Currently playing Grimoire no Shisho and not really interesting imo.
Probably because after playing Drapeko!, hard to find other interesting VN after you played a masterpiece.

Ehh I wouldn't say that: Hayate is way more wacky comedy. Noble Works is a pretty normal moege, just that it happens to take place at a school for rich people

Finished Hanachirasu and it's pretty good, it was good to have Akane as a protagonist.
Also, started and already finished Fault Milestone Two, I thought it was awesome, the first VN was good and all, but this one was so much better I couldn't hide my surprise.

Uhh at the time I wrote that it was
https://vndb.org/v18144
https://vndb.org/v8282
and also the most recent SonoHana release (if that really counts that is)
https://vndb.org/v8434

Done with the latter two now tho

Exactly.
Probably one of my really few gripes with the series is the lack of a good number of CGs, especially for its length. Good thing the plot more than makes up for it.

It sure does, and I guess it's all about 'imagining' what happens while we read the text. If it was original art then sure, but when I see such cute spirites I can't help but feel disappointed :(

Well, I guess if it was possible to already play the entirety of the game this way, it wouldn't be that bad.

OT: Rereading Symphonic Rain from scratch with the aim to actually finish it to the final ending 2/4 routes in.

The Kitamikado sisters' routes. I'd probably say Ayaka had the best route though I think Ritsuko was the best girl

The entire game is pretty slow tbh. I mean we're talking about a typical moege which is like 40 hours long yet only has 4 routes

I'm currently playing "Blood Code" on Steam. I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the stats I need to keep track off. :)

Aight done with Eiyuu Senki after about a week's worth of marathoning

Might very well be my new favorite SRPG really. It's like a more developed version of Sengoku Rance both in terms of gameplay and scale. I had a ton of fun with it

Also without a doubt the biggest harem I've ever seen in a VN. Think I counted it to be 74 girls in love with the MC over the course of the game. I mean that's just... yeah >.>
