DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Alright, so who here really liked that kickass Tennis match between Light and L? Did L let Light win, or is Light just a badass like we all think he is? Haha. And really, could L possibly get anything out of playing a tennis match against Light? No, give me a break. Woot for Light kicking his ass. And Light being all sypathetic with his father and saying "I'll give Kira the death penalty, I swear it". Wow, hmm lying a bit or does he actually want to kill himself? |

| I loved the tennis match! I think both Light and L are really good players, so Light could have won fairly...but I'm more inclined to think that L let him win. ^_^ Because L is just that cool. My friend and I recently went to go play tennis, and this scene was all I could think about! ^_^ |

| And Death Note gets more and more retarded... I kinda like "L" though. I'm usually one to root for the anti-hero, but "L" is a more interesting and ambiguous character than Light, who really is a cheesy fool drunk on power, albeit a maniacally deceptive one. |

| I think Light's intelligence changes way too often. Sometimes it seems like he is aware of the state he is in, and then other times it seems like he's just mad with power. I don't know what to think right now :S The episode was okay. Not the best of course, but it's very entertaining to see the interactions between L and Light. But there are a lot of parts when they think in their head during the conversation. If that's in real time, then that means...there's a ton of pauses then they talk, and it's probably awkward XD |
| That was a kickass tennis match. lol. but i think light is leaving little clues and "L" will find out sooner or later. because light is going to go nuts with the notebook and try and create his "new world". |

| Intense tennis match. Thinking and talking in fast pace is truly the works of geniuses. I can't help but think L is the one on lead but once he starts talking Light picks up on what he needed and he's then on par with L but afterwards L says something to keep him on the lead again then making Light think harder on the situation. I just want to know if L has a family. I bet he does maybe watari is a caretaker or something. |

I just love how he shoots right into Light's face - "I suspect that you're Kira" or "I'm L". Kira already think he's won but I don't think L will give up that easy. Even though he's in an unfair position to Kira - he's going all out, but Light still can kill him with Death Note easily... |

| Badass Tennis Match |
| I love the pacing in this series. It does not stall nor waste too much time on recap. They cover 2-4 issues of the manga per episode. They also do a nearly shot by shot remake of the manga. The constant battling back and forth of L vs. Light is very entertaining. I really liked how Ryuuk had to dodge the tennis ball. Ryuuk manages to be quirky, without being kitschy. Also, for anyone who is familiar with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, I think Light is definitely an INTJ and L is definitely an INTP. Anyone else have thoughts on this?  |

| The tennis match was so good and random. A good add to the storyline. The creep in the end is stupid. Didn't he said he didn't want any more stories about Kira, yet he's gonna air a story anyway just to not get killed? That just shows what people really do to save their lives. |
