Not bad at all, focused much more on the people of the land than the beach scene, which wasn't that long anyway.

I agree, I smell something fishy in here...

Looks like there's something going to happen with that princess. Maybe she'll be attracted to shiroe, well, I hope she does. But this is no romance anime damn.

I'm excited for the next episode! The students will be having some action! :D

Yes he is. He was involved in an accident that paralyzed most of his lower body. That's why he really enjoyed being able to run and walk when they were transported to Elder Tales. It was explained in detail a bit more in the novels.

I can't wait till the next few episodes. I love the NEET Princess monologue in the LN when she learns more about the Adventures and a certain individual, but that's all I"m going to say.

Too bad we won't see any of the monologue within the series though XP My enjoyment of her thoughts and reactions are largely due to my imagination of how I portray her personality and reaction in my head. I am assuming, however, the animated series will be different.

Beach ep! Well, not really. This is NHK we're talking about.

My favorite NEET princess Lennesia (I much prefer Raynesia though) makes her appearance. Rundel Haus Code is also properly introduced. And Akatsuki being too adorable as usual. I'm gonna love her in the kimono.

That black sea of "things" the two guys saw in the beginning of the ep... You guys are gonna love that.

Alright, give me a good reason to why you were expecting good fanservice in a government-funded anime that airs Late afternoon. Honestly, I'm suspecting that the only reason that the beach part wasn't cut out is because of the set-up for the training camp.

Fanservice on NHK? This airs on an educational channel. A children's show airs before this. Fanservice? Nope not gonna happen.

You can't really compare the two. KLK is a show built absolutely on over the top action and it's good at that (I love it to bits). You can turn your brain off while watching it and you'd still be entertained.

Log Horizon, on the other hand, is built on exposition and world-building and has a different kind of action...you know the kind of action that actually requires you to pay attention to what the characters are saying.

Decent episode. At this point, the repetitive jokes are changing from me not caring to being annoyed. I hope this doesn't go on for the next 14 episodes

It is getting old. Like Kyoukai no Kanata-jokes old. I wonder if the original LH LN overused Akatsuki-beating-on-Naotsugu as well. Not yet annoyed though :p

Shiroe looked quite handsome dressed up. Although, it did seem like that wasn't really his style. Crusty seemed to fit right in. I wonder what Crusty's background is in real life.

A beach episode even here, goddammit?!
Good episode overall, the politics are going to a larger scale, getting interesting. The beach part was meh, the comedy more misses than hits, except for the rock-paper-scissors part, that one was hilarious.
This show's already above average for me, let's see where it'll go from here.

As a person who has never read the manga/light novel, I really like the direction that this series is going so far; though the last few episodes have lacked in action, it more than makes up for it with thick-juicy plot.

I love Rundelhaus. Usually characters like him are either forgettable or annoying or both. But he manages to be entertaining to watch. More so in the next few eps to come cuz that's where he truly shines. It's rare for me to find a series where none of the characters annoy me.

What I really like from the direction of LH took is, we have manly and adults politic discussions on a side and on the other side we have many noobs who are doing a training camp which means = action. So thus far LH is really balanced and enjoyable for everyone.

Well, not exactly everyone. See the LH not enough action thread. But I do agree that it's a series that does great balancing it's different elements w/out any one feeling out of place.

On a side note loving the "Shiroe having a lady on each arm" comments being animated. And, no, Michitaka you silly man you. That's nothing to be surprised about. In an MMO it's a legitimate skill. It's called "Dual Wielding".

And as for the kids liking it this airs on NHK - a government sponsored edutainment channel. The show before LH is an educational kids show. I'd say it's targeted more on the tweens who are in to MMOs in general.

5/5

Less attractive then the previous installments, the plot is interesting nonetheless.
If you can not beat them buy them, easy! No? ^ _ ^
Narration usable, has built something intriguing, and Marielle behaves when a child is too cute! LOL
Drawings passable, as the scenarios, I really want something great, would that impact is lacking on the more suspicious.

Ah that clears things up. Cheers mate :)

While I find the jokes repetitive, it still has that "that's so Akatsuki/ Naotsugu" vibe. I'm kind of hoping they don't use it too often though. Do they throw that same gag at the same part as in the LN? I'm wondering if it's just the scriptwriter's way of of making the jokes more uh...wholesome since this airs on an educational channel.

The interaction with the people of the land is interesting, I wonder where they're going to go with that. Crusty is pretty cool, a composed strategist with glasses but is also a warrior. Also the training camp looks like a fun idea for the lower levels and helping bringing life to their zone like Shiroe said. Rundelhaus is cracking me up, he reminds me of that one blond guy from Zero no Tsukaima.

The trip to see the castle crowd is kind of a distraction. I was looking forward to seeing Akihabara boot up industrial civilization.

Key remark a few episodes back: it's too cheap to live there, so people have nothing to do. So it's necessary to create things for them to buy so they'll have to work. The free people must be bent to the yoke of wage capitalism. I was hoping to see that idea explored more fully.

You'll get to see that later. This time it focuses more on politics and diplomacy. And Shiroe also pointed out the pros and cons of attending the ball or choosing to ignore them and focus on developing Akiba. This is just a set up for the climax of the arc. Give some more time. And a lot of reveals in the next few eps.

Well whatever its fun to think about they could do that too anyway. Yah theres some dude drinking in a bar thinking about home and his family and poof he logs out.

Again let us clarify things. They are not really logged on to a VRMMO game. They were transported to an alternate reality resembling the game w/ elements form the game present but is superimposed w/ reality. They can't just log out. This is simply because they might not be in their own world anymore. Look up the manga and you'll see what I mean. And for the record Elder Tales was an ordinary MMO played via mouse, keyboard and desktop pc.
