| In an earlier news post, it was announced that "Persona 3 the Movie" was to be a serial film. An announcement has now been made that the second movie in the series will be released sometime in Summer 2014. The announcement was made at the end of the "Persona 3 the Movie" premiere which aired November 23, 2013. The second movie is a continuation of the first as it has been addressed as the "second chapter." Synopsis for "Persona 3 the Movie" (first movie): "Terrible creatures lurk in the dark, preying on those who wander into the hidden hour that lies between one day and the next—the Dark Hour. A secret school club known as SEES defends humanity from horrors and disasters while working to solve the mystery of the Dark Hour once and for all." | As a big fan of Persona series I hope to see the first movie in a few months, it's good to know they are showing the second movie in Summer 2014. I would LOVE to see P2 adaptation, because its arguably the darkest game of entire persona franchise and it has brilliant plot and soundtrack(with a cyberpunk vibe to it no less), but sadly its not as popular. While we are at things that will never happen adaptation of SMT:Soul Hackers or even SMT Nocturne would be great too. However we will faster get freaking shitty raidou kuzunoha movie than those things. |

There's no point in milking P2 if they don't actually plan on using it afterwards. They milked P4 because they were developing P4U, P4G and so on. The same applies to P3, since P3 characters appear in P4U and now in PQ. But where's P2? We have two "enhanced" ports for PSP and mind you, EP wasn't really successful. Anyway, I'm not saying they WON'T make any sort of adaptation of P2, but I'm definitely not counting on it. Still, all I wanted was to watch Eikichi, Maya and Tatsuya (EP version) in glorious animation, so I'm not THAT frustrated about it. |
