My favorite quotes from animes:

Those who seek miracles will never experience one. The hand of salvation only extends to people
who try to make miracles happen. - Ef a tale of melodies.
I destroy worlds. I create worlds. - Code geass
We are humans. - Shinsekai yori
100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! - One punch man

I don't know about manga but if you want to start LN after season 2 end go from volume 14.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

The manga is still on Daihaseisai as of chapter 75.
Read the LN instead. Start with volume 14, but read the epilogue of volume 6 and volume 13 first. They're extremely important.

It's almost 7 years since the manga started and it barely reached volume 10 of the Light Novel which has 32+ volumes. It will take more than a decade for the manga to reach the Light Novels. It isnt even at the end of the anime.

You forgot to add that it reached the volume 10 after skipping 2 whole volumes, which means 8 volumes adapted in 7 years so around 1 volume adapted per year.

Since the manga will probably not skip again a volume now, it means 10-11 years just to finish the first novel series. Meaning that if shin'yaku series goes to the same length as the first one, it would take 20+ years before the manga ends. That's assuming of course that it isn't canceled before that (most likely scenario).

So yeah, the manga is pretty much useless. Even reaching the end of the second anime season will take the manga 2 or 3 more years; by this time, we'll probably have a third index anime series anyway... And the anime series actually didn't skip as much content as the manga did, so not only is the manga too slow to reach the anime, but on top of this there is less content rather than more.
Useless to the core I'd say. I started to buy this manga series a few years back and I currently have 10 volumes I think; but I stopped buying them for this very reason. Just focusing on buying the LN and the railgun manga now.

If you're visual, wait for the anime series. If you don't want to wait years to know what happens ahead, read the LN. That's about it.
(Although that I would add, "And if you really want to read a good LN, forget about the Index series", but that's off topic :3 ).

but no crucial things are missing right? i'm at volume 16 now (started at 14) theres nothing that left me like 'WTF is going on?' so imma keep going like this i think.

on a unrelated note: volume 15 is awesome.
