I couldn't take this episode too serious but it had its fun moments. Mitsuki was cool though. Mirai ....*sigh*. Oh and the music, can't forget that! HHHHGGG my heart. The girls looked cute as idols. I'll buy one of those singles. |

| Expensive plants. lol @ the monster with smell, and among other things. Dancing and singing? And they are in a unit! Nice song. "Yakusoku no Kizuna (約束の絆)" lol @ the end. The inserted song will be released as one of the OST track on January 8, 2014. |

| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

| All that work and the idol and mahou shoujo loving monster still explodes anyway and they are back to square one in the showers, that idol segment was very nice with Ai having such a perfect outfit and choreography. |

| This episode was pure hilarious XDXDXD I LMAO'd at the Idol show with all the serious dramatic flash backs about their training, fighting between eachother, crying, and all the dramatic stuff XD...I lol'd Also the dramatic bath scene with them not accepting they stink XD But they had some really nice moves during the dance (Liked Mitsuki and Akihito's hairstyle)...Then when Ai entered the show, Dat smile was Kawaii <3...The Youmu's reactions were pure lol as well. How he was all O.O and how his eyes were gonna explode from epicness XD...Same with his reaction to Mirai's cosplay and hot poses. She looked really seductive right there hehe <3 The part with Mitsuki in the bubble was also cute and funny with Akihito and Hiromi's reaction XD |

| LOL this episode was actually pretty funny, the overdramatic "I can't deal with this smell any longer" (or something like that) and the flashback of them training. I laughed so hard at the dance, it was cool I guess but people dancing in anime always makes me laugh. But honestly how did they not realize that they didn't include someone in the plan to defeat the youmu...at first when I saw the four of them in those outfits, I though maybe Ai would defeat it or Yakiimo, and then Ai was even part of the performance. That was such fail for their hardwork... |

| This episode felt like a cynical pander to pull on things that are popular right now to boost Blu-Ray says so they thought hey lets have them be idols, that there other show this Hanada guy wrote about idols did great so why not do that. Watch it totally work too. As for this shows integrity, not that it ever had much to begin with but it ought to have lost what remained of it at this point. It's like Kyoani just finally gave up all pretense for the whole world to see. |

| Only one part of this episode I thought was funny and made me laugh. The rest felt too forced for me to enjoy. Akihito and Hiroomi's fetish overload didn't help either. |

It's not secret it's underperforming for them and fans in Japan are sort of losing interest but if otaku hear there's a dance/shower episode done with Kyoani's fluid animation they'll probably come flocking back to it in an instant. It admittedly is perfect timing (as in commercial timing not timing in relation to the shows ongoing I guess series of events that may at some point resemble a plot with tangible and meaningful character development) too to coincide with the middle of the show and where Free began it's turnaround in popularity and profitability. Kyoani are really good at this whole commercialism thing, just a shame about their whole ability to tell a coherent and more serious story not really working out at all. They really do bring out the cynic in me like no other production team can. Anyway I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing and consistently bothered by these things. I swear sometimes its like I'm the only one that seems to care and expect better than what we're getting out of this shows slipshod writing. It probably wouldn't make the show fantastic or anything but at least it'd be functional and maybe a dumb guilty pleasure like the first act of chuunibyou before it tried to be dramatic. I wouldn't constantly be taken out of it because of the most elementary of consistencies being ignored. Its not like the shows super complex either so there'sreally no excuse. Kyoani literally just doesn't seem to care about stable world building, tonal consistency, logic and pacing of developments these days so its hard to give a pass here. |
