Would you like to see more muscular female leads in anime?

I know for marketing purposes, it is not a wise or ideal move to make a female character that isn't highly attractive or feminine, but wouldn't it be cool if one day, they decided to make female leads, that are very strong willed, and actually muscular enough to look like they are prepared for an adventure or battle? I'm sorry if I am misinformed and this is common somewhere, but most female leads I see in Shonen lately, are just Tsunderes or moe-blobs that serve as backdrop to the actual male protagonist, and not really the kind of character that is strong enough to fight side to side with him in the thick of battle.

I don't remember shonen that have many tsunderes or moe-blobs, those usually appear on harem/romances

I dont mind seeing some ridiculously muscular female warriors. Like really buff. Not every girl is supposed to be just cute, and I like me some diversity.
Altough something in the middle of the road like Casca is probably the best.

Hm. Orihime, Hinata (yeah, Sakura is no longer the lead girl of Naruto anymore), and Winry are all good examples.

It really depends on the characters. The klutz type usually just annoys the hell out of me, I like the moe shy type tough. Altough then again I still dont know what moe really means and I think its a stupid word so whatever. I just meant cute whenever I used moe.

I wash my clothing on Mikasa's abs.
Also I plummet back into depression everytime I see the words Drama and Enthusiast together.

Yuck definitely not. A female character doesn't have to be muscular to be strong willed. @DramaEnthusiast Watch Birdy the Mighty Decode which is a shonen anime with a strong female protagonist that isn't a tsundere. Also in History's Strongest Disciple which is a shonen anime Miu is a strong female main character who fights alongside Kenichi.

Strong-willed females? Yes.
Muscular, loud mouths? No.
It's all just a matter of preference. "Looks are deceiving" heavily applies to quite a bit of 'cute' female characters in an action/shounen anime. My example for that being Akatsuki in Log Horizon.

I'm def a proponent of creating more "strong female characters" in anime and in entertainment in general, but I really don't think we need uber muscle bound chicks to make it happen. If they happen to be physically strong in ways (see what others have mentioned: Caska, Mikasa) then thats cool, but there are plenty of muscle-less male MCs that are shit kickers. I don't see a need for women to look pumped to be badass.

Not really interested in seeing female body builders like Undine from Claymore, but I would take some females with normal female muscle definition.

I like her character. Not exactly phisically appealing but do they always have to be? Id also like to see some battlescars on them. Need more battlescars in anime, especially dynamic ones. Always wondered how they got injured without having scars afterwards, when the smallest cut possible in my face left a noticable scar to me.

I think there are quite a few strong female leads in anime right now. Off the top of my head I can think of Balsa from Seirei No Moribito.

Of course, if there were more females lead like Balsa I wouldn't complain.

In reality some people's skin just doesn't scar at all, whereas others do. Personally, I'm somewhere in between, I don't scar unless it's a really bad gash at which point it scars temporarily but it's gone in 6 months to a year as the skin replaces itself constantly.

It's hard to not like lolis, their cuteness pander to the same emotions that naturally makes us fathers.

But it's hard to get off to anything that doesn't have any adult women characteristics like large tits, ass, and thighs.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Get ready for 10 threads per day about what it means to be human.

@ Topic - I would not want to see muscular female leads, but I certainly welcome ones that can handle themselves. Just as someone mentioned, Balsa from Seirei no Moribito is one, also in this season Yukina from Strike the Blood can handle her own and is still visually appealing.

+1.

I don't need the buff-ness of Sakura from Danganronpa, all I need is someone like Mikasa from SnK.

I hate girls that are skinny as hell but is able to swing something heavy easily, for most of the time.

Muscular as in body builder jacked? Not attracted, but might be interesting to see.

Lean, athletic girls (Casca, Mikasa) are something I'd really like to see more of however. They actually look capable.

I like how everyone mentions Mikasa and yet....

There has been a grand total of zero....I repeat....ZERO animated scenes showing Mikasa with any noticeable muscles.....and obviously I'm talking about her famous 6 pack abs which have only been fetured in about 2 official manga drawings but not the actual story.

So...yeah...
