| It would be a better decision if they ended it after the Kyoto arc. It feels like Bleach now (even though Rurouni Kenshin was aired long ago), where the story still continues after Aizen was defeated and therefore having half-assed plot to continue the series. |
| I found the feng shui storyline a bit boring, tbh... I think ending after the Kyoto arc would have preserved its awesomeness a bit better, but then we would have never seen Karou and Kenshin get engaged! Her daydream about Kenshin taking her to bed had me in stitches! |

| Yeah, it's true none of the filler can compare to the greatness of the Kyoto arc, but neither can the introductory arc compare to it, so... all of these individual mini-arcs have been pretty interesting, even if not particularly spectacular, so I don't mind. I think they've been better than most of the stories in the introductory arc, at least. Plus, I like the inclusion of Chinese culture here. |

| This episode was a wash. Magic, magic everywhere - magic puppets, spells, and a dark master + lots of hastily explained mystical terms. The first half explained stuff we already know and linked drug problems and imperialism to mismanaged feng shui. C'mon, that's dumb and doesn't even fit in with any established lore. Was the Shishio problem due to bad feng shui too? The fight wasn't good. Why is Kaoru so weak? What a waste of an episode. |
