Why is OEL Still in type drop box?

Not sure if I should post this here or in support but this has been bugging me for a while.

Why is OEL Still in the 'type' drop box when you go to do an advanced search or edit manga info ect?

MAL's coding is incredibly rickety. I believe the worry is that in an attempt to remove a feature from one of the earliest codes quite possibly can make the website fall apart.

Ever been to the Suggestion forum? Some of the simplest easiest minor suggestions are shot down because they're a coding nightmare.

I see no reason the shown text couldn't be changed from "OEL" to "detracted" or something all without attempting to remove the entry, though.
