We were talking about acids and bases in Chemistry the other day and my teacher said that basic soil causes blue hydrangeas and acidic soil cause pink hydrangeas. I asked her "how do you make red ones?" and she looked at me weird.

the body of a spirit under the bush! chemists just don't seem to keep up on their clamp...

anyone else in class know the answer?

lol nope...
Sometimes I wished Yuko taught my Chem class... that way she'd pass out in a drunken sleep and we'd have Chinese food ordered to the school while listening to our iPods.

after some of the classes i don't think i'd mind that too much, at the very least Mokona probably knows Avogadro's number, or something useful. ;-)

i'm guessing, low ph value leads to color close to red. i'm assuming decomposition of the body in the bush led to some strong acid in the soil?

yeh probably... The problem is the little fact that a high acidic soil can kill plants... SO it's rather difficult to get real red flowers... Uric Acid!!! That's what the body decomposition frees!

LOL Yuuko and Mokona as the teachers... man that'd be hilarious hahahahahah... Especially Mokona!
