Yeah, a difficult Question ;)
Whats better ?
A console or a Pc ? What would you chose ? A high end Pc or a Ps3 for example ?

Whats your opinion? And why ?

My own ^^ :
I love to play on a console for some time.
But I think a high end PC is better then a console...

You can Play Games, Edit them ^^ Patch them up. Surf on the i-net, or use editing programms like [C++, Sony vegas, Photoshop, Word ...]. My Opinion ;)

I would say both, because sure, a PC aces at everything depending on what you want to do with it, but a PC's general purpose is help humans to do the things in a faster/more accurate fashion, so unless your comp is ONLY for gaming... even if it's not, without the consoles, every game will end up being on the computer and your beloved little computer will overload one day and crash. Like how my video card already burned out after I bought it a year ago =_= Sucks.

Also, sometimes the PC is not everything there is, if consoles do not exist, where will all the new ideas (such as Wii) come in? And don't tell me people can make everything USB-based and plug in a DDR mat or set up a gizillion game-related stuff in the PC, I don't have that many plug sockets to spare.

Annnd, with your lovely new Windows Vista, I think the whole world is able to have their computers crash every few months without doing anything to them. Mine certainly crashed within half a year and I didn't even download/game/whatever on it, my HOMEWORK crashed my new comp. I let my older comp handle the hard work of gaming and animes; it didn't even crash once for the past 5 years I use it.... Except with its video card dying, memory running out, RAM running low, such and such.

Buuut! The good thing about your everyday PC is, if your parents are actually strict about games in the house, well, they'll still have a computer, right? :D Even better if they don't know how a computer works, you can always sneak in a game here and there and get away with it without using any extra space to put a suspicious looking machine next to the TV.

Another thing is how games are usually 'free', especially the MMORPG types, even if they are not, well, they'll have private servers eventually (cough RO cough); I guess it's cost-efficient for those who likes to have some entertainment once in a while, but not a hardcore gamer who would like to spend all their money on consoles and their games.

agree to that but i voted for pc only
cause with a pc you can emulate all types of consoles
of course not the new ones :P
but after some year maybe^^
and console is to make for only playing but i have other hobbies too like animes^^
ok i can watch them in a ps3 too but i need to burn it on my pc
so i have to use my pc to be able to watch it on my console

also agree with the mmo part since there isnt really one on the console that i wanted to buy and play
and the most of them i can get free on i-net

of course i dont hate the console i have ps2 too but i dont think i will buy the next gen
the pc will always be better in graphics
but have to say that i like to play on consoles too especially multiplayer^^
nothing is better to see your enemy face how hes going to lose XD
and party games of course too like the eye toy / wii / singstar

I voted for console for game playing wise, I normally have an easier time with controls on consoles then on a pc.

I play on my PC(it is quite high-end=Crysis on very highXD), but I also have PSP, so I can play when I'm out;]
PC games rock, but I wish GTA4 was already on my HDD. Instead I gotta wait:/

I think ist not a question of "PC is better than Console" or the other way around because both have good points, ist just a question of taste and the things you want to play or you wnat to do^^
I play on PC and Console (X-Box, X-BOX 360, PS2, Gamecube, PS3) so I have a little of both^^

I own PSP and quite high-end PC(C2Q 6600, GF 8800 GTS 512, 4 GB ram and so on), but now, after all this fucking waiting for games console gamers already play, I started to convince my bro we really need a X-Box 360;]
