Another company, apart from jlist, that localises visual novels is www.mangagamer.com (although they are quite struggling these days). Their VNs like DaCapo and Suika are really worth buying. So instead of downloading, if you have money, the best option is buying them and showing some support for the industry.

That is sad that they are not enough places to buy them or download the independent releases.

Actually there are 2 places better than hongfire.

    One is darkeagle.
    Link: http://www.hacg.net/bbs/

    and the other is 2DJGAME.net
    Link: https://bbs4.2djgame.net/

You need to understand Japanese since both these forums are in Japanese/Chinese, but I suppose you could navigate by randomly clicking around for a while....

Those are actually both Chinese. There's a lot more Chinese sites like 2dgal and sumisora, but as I recall, there's a bunch of random hispanic and russian blos and websites that just randomly uploads eroge onto megaupload and mediafire

Hmm? But the grammar structure is different, and japanese sites would require hiragana, which would make it quite obvious.. Ah well xD

In any case, a lot of japanese VNs are available to buy online, I believe. I don't think that you should have that many problems finding them...

Use the bar to the left to navigate, they have like.. at least 400 games, most games are in japanese, but they also provide AGTH and Atlas links (For translating japanese, not that good translations, but hey! You understand it)

I've downloaded like 30 games there

Btw, it's all uploaded on MegaUpload and Rapidshare :D

Surprised no one mentioned this one. This is if you wish to own the games legally.

    http://www.mangagamer.com/allages/

This is a link to the all ages section but there is also an adult section with english translated games like kirakira, shuffle, da capo, edelweiss, soul link, and in the very near future the visual novel based off of the romance of the three kingdoms (koihime musou and cosplay alien).

    Another is:
    http://www.nitroplususa.com/
a part of jast but a separate website by the people who created Phantom of Inferno (first game will be Demonbane).

You can also search for eroge masters group somewhere on the net they had a large variety of games but I have since forgotten the website for their forum.

You can also go to the visual novel database and they will let you know who is working on what and if you can get it.

    You can go to http://yandere.gray7.com/?p=155
they release games every now and then.

Also on Cartoon World in the H section there are a couple of games as well.

You can also try Sakura River Interactive a Canadian company that was just created that has begun to release visual novels (no h scenes, and no cgs, with a mediocre story but unique interfaces for there first one, they plan to update in the future)

two of the best resources to find out about translated games are these two sites:

    http://vndb.org/r?q=&ma_m=0&ma_a=0&tp=&pa=0&fw=0&do=0&mi=&ma=99999999&ln=en&pl=win

    and

    http://visual-novels.net/vn/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1001&Itemid=2

Here's a resource that I posted in a forum a few months ago. For the most part they are the same as the above but there is one or two different ones. Not to mention all the programs you may need to install the games on the computer.

Below is anything you might need to know about downloading or installing an eroge or visual novel as well as where to get them.

Programs/Materials you may need to download some of these games (try without first):

    Roxio Creator: http://www.toggle.com/lv/group/view/kl38513/Roxio_Easy_Media_Creator.htm

    IsoBuster: http://www.isobuster.com/

    Daemon Tools: http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/downloads

    Blank CD-R discs

Common problem fixes: (for when downloaded but they just won't work)

    1. On the game Wanko no Kurosu you must first open a media player of some sort and let it play for a few minutes then try opening the game. Click start from menu if nothing works keep audio media player open until you get a screen then you can exit out.

    2. Some games require admin permission so right click and open with administrator to play.

    3. Some games need to be set to a different program for example you may need to switch with properties to windows 98 or 2000 instead of the set thing.

    4. Some games require a disc to play.

    5. You may need to go to control panel and change the computer so it can read japanese.

    6. ask me if you have any problems.

    http://www.jlist.com/

    To Buy in Japanese:

    http://www.erogeshop.com/

    Visual Novel Database:

    http://vndb.org/

I've also tested a number of the links above and they are all great as well. These are just a few more (and some if not most are torrent not needed).

    hope this helps.

The best bet is to buy (despite the many pirate sites I linked to).

Paletweb and erogeshop are still the best places to get the original japanese games but both tend to be a bit expensive.

A number of games are also on DLsite but they are there for a reason usually.

try anime-sharing.com/forum/index.php its been pretty good since hongfire closed, theres also www.craneanime.com/ but a fair bit of their stuff got deleted.
For english translated try http://erogedownload.com/downloads/ they usually only have full english translated ones, there are some that are partially translated though.
    Hope those can help

Is there a website where we can download them in Japanese, with no translations?
A site where there are all-ages and +18 VN

I really wanted to buy Visual Novel, but in the country where I live that's kinda impossible, because of the money and etc
But I do plan to buy them once I start living in Japan.
