So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |

Horrible LN such as these shouldn't be animated by good studios like Madhouse, but rather by DEEN or JC Staff so they get the "quality" they deserve (Actually, JC Staff is too good for this as well). On the other hand, this means Madhouse finally gets the money from a big hitter; hopefully used to finance the rest of Dream Machine. Oh, who am I kidding... Anyway, the characters and the plot are just as bad as SAO, so i am sure this will be hyped until there's no tomorrow by the typical crowd. |

I won't deny Madhouse has disappointed me in 2013 with PornoKano and the very average KamiNai. However, Chihayafuru 2 and HxH 2011 are still miles above 90% of the aniem that aired this year and Madhouse's entire track record is great. And while I agree that JC Staff managed to adapt the Sister arc in a good way, their filler ending was just horrible. Still, JC Staff is miles better than other studios and not *that* bad which is why I added the bracketed sentence. |

For their 20th anniversary, Dengeki only announced 2 adaptations while MF Bunko's 10th anniversary had 5 announcements. I'm kind of disappointed with that. We could have gotten Index III, SAO2, Horizon 3 and many more. Guess that fighting game is their big thing for their anniversary. Anyways, it was about time this got an announcement. Quite pleased. They're keeping the same VAs as the drama CD. Kyousuke and Ayase. Imagine if SAO2 was airing at the same time. MAL and other forums will definitely explode. Looking forward to this and all the elitist who will put this down. |

I'd also like to think the Budget for Mahouka it's really huge, so probably the producers don't want to risk that much, even though MKnR it's set to be a commercial success given the scale of it's fanbase. |

Nidhoeggr said: In this case then it is hard to say Madhouse is necessarily a "good studio" versus JC Staff being a "shitty studio", right? The fact remains both studios have their share of good output and lackluster output, and if we look at the recent history it does not really make Madhouse that much better than JC Staff. I won't deny Madhouse has disappointed me in 2013 with PornoKano and the very average KamiNai. However, Chihayafuru 2 and HxH 2011 are still miles above 90% of the aniem that aired this year and Madhouse's entire track record is great. Still, JC Staff is miles better than other studios and not *that* bad which is why I added the bracketed sentence. And for the record, I consider JC Staff's adaptation of Railgun 2 great, and that includes the filler arc as well. And I think it did a pretty decent job adapting HenNeko and Sakurasou (that I don't like the story of the latter is just my own taste, not a problem of how JCStaff did the adaptation). Their adaptation of Joshiraku is just wonderful. Little Busters gets divided opinion, but I see it largely because some fans just don't want to see anything cut and some set an unrealistic expectation by wanting them to do it "KyoAni way". I do see some flaws in their LB! adaptation but I don't think the result is terrible, in fact far from that. So there you have it. Neither is really that much better than the other when it comes to anime adaptation. |

Most Manga adaptions from Light novels tends to be quite bad, of course there are exceptions such as Full Metal Panic Sigma (Just my opinion). Anyway it's best not to judge a series that is not from their original source, especially judging a series on its manga adaption. I personally am quite enjoying the Mahou Koukou novel series. Anyway I am quite excited to see Madhouse's animation in action again! |

Harutora said: And he thinks the adaptation of DAL is bad? Hmm... And apparently he is commenting on the manga not the light novels? Anyway, I would say the adaptation of DAL has both things done well and things done badly. Overall, as a person who has not read the LN, I'd say the anime has more things done right than otherwise (though the flaws can also be really glaring). It is hard to say how Mahouka will turn out, but the director Ono Manabu did the adapted anime of Saki (and Saki Achiga-hen) and Horizon (both seasons) and I think his adaptations are all well received by fans of the original work, so I have some expectation for this anime adaptation.symbv said: Because Hakaaze bashes Mahouka all the time when Mahouka is in the manga rankings. Well, I say most of these mangas are made to promote the original work, as what happens in the animes. So, if someone doesn't like the characters and setting from simple resume, I won't expect them to enjoy it while reading paragraphs going into detail of said series. |
