THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Things that are, and things that cannot be, call out, and blend together. They become a Mononoke. To cut, to stab, to gouge, to carve, are the duties of the sword (Medicine Seller's).

This is shaping up to be a great arc. There are lots of characters so untangling the Mononoke's Truth and Regret is taking quite a while.

It's interesting to note that by their inaction, the characters somehow were 'accomplices' to the reporter's death, however fleeting their acquaintance with the latter is.

Note: I thought I'd make an episode discussion for Episode 11 since it's the only episode without one. ^^"

Great episode, and yea I'd have to agree that it's an interesting take on how you'd expect them all to having nothing to do with Setsuko's death, but in actuality it was their indifference towards it that was the cause for all this.

Each arc has been so unique, so much so that this felt like a detective series for a moment. Love it!!!

I'm surprised the Medicine Seller didn't use any o-fuda (paper charms) when the bakeneko attacked in this episode, he was using loads of them Ayakashi.

Great way of relating those characters to the incident.

Agree that this sort of detective thing is really interesting.. :D

I'm loving the detective feel of this arc! Anyone who has ever seen Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Lady Vanishes" will definitely notice the similarity in the way the story is directed and the feeling of suspense it leaves with all the mysterious characters and what not, although Mononoke is supernatural oriented.

On to the last one.

Very interesting to see all the bits of the various passengers' stories start to come together. Unlike Ayakashi, it does not sound like anyone is entirely blameless this time around. Anyway, I can't believe there is just one more episode left but I anticipate a nice finale.

wonder if the head reporter didn't just passively ignore the reporter, but was doing it actively cause he was bribed

dunno, it feels so misplaced seeing this arc played in an almost modern setting, i can't feel the atmosphere as good as the previous arcs

Pretty good episode especially the ending. Time to put an end to it alright. Seems like the train and the passengers connected well through seemingly being acquittances that spells out that anticipation like feeling.
