| I like to think that an award-winning manga with an at least tolerable MC will fare better than Area no Kishi, which felt corny to me from the very start. I've also heard it's a late bloomer from someone who told me he wasn't hooked until 15 chapters in. |

| Yeah, this definitely seemed above Area no Kishi level to me. @Lately: if you base your expectations for sports shows on One Outs, you will always be disappointed because One Outs was more a psychological anime that happened to have a sports setting instead of really being part of the sports genre. Liking One Outs does not mean that you'll like any other sports anime, while liking KnB or Major or Hajime no Ippo makes it very likely that you'll enjoy the other two as well. |
