Madlax is 17!? I was thinking more like mid twenties.

I actually like this pairing of Vanessa and Madlax, I hope it goes on for a bit.

The showdown between Sniper chick and Madlax was cool, but I'm really not a fan of the lazy flashing (flying? not sure how do describe it) colored backgrounds that they use during action sequences in this show. I'm also skeptical that shooting a car in the engine would actually cause it to explode, but i guess Madlax isn't exactly aiming for realism. (And what do i know)

I do love how frank Madlax is.
"Are you into mutual shootings?"

"...Lies only breed sadness"

"I consider myself a person of integrity"
"But you're stupid"

Gotta love how there's eleven episodes of slow, gradual build-up, mysticism, and general exposition, and then Vanessa rizzes Madlax into her bed within like fifteen minutes of them meeting each other.
And she almost seems to want to make sure that Madlax is legal too...
Also the bizarre yuri triangle between Madlax, Vanessa and Limela has major Noir vibes ala Mirielle, Kirika and Chloe, and frankly I'm all for it
