Well I was wondering what people would consider to be the best romance manga. Oh and I mean just a romance manga not some shoujo perverted crap just to be clear. Well that's about it so I'll stop this message now

I agree with Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu..

Also...

Kodocha
Gakuen Alice
Hana Yori Dango
Alice 19th
Imadoki!
Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne
My Heavenly Hockey Club
Princess Tutu
DN Angel (WAY better than the anime)

I don't think these are the "best", I just really enjoyed them.

I'm not sure if all these manga will count as romance in the pure sense, but they were amazingly good none the less

Bitter Virgin
Kare Kano
Kare First Love
Koukou Debut
Suzuka

Romance in the pure sense = Card Captor Sakura and Full Moon wo Sagashite. You can't get more pure than SakuraxSyaoran.

Full moon's art style is what kept me off of reading it but I'll give it a try.

Definitely. It's one of the best manga out there, and you really should read it, once you get the chance. ^_^

Some of my favorite "pure" romances:

- Imadoki!
- Koukou Debut
- Lovely Complex

Imadoki! topped the list for a good reason, mind.

Watch Maison Ikkoku. That's the show that set the standard. There's a reason why the 8th and final DVD box set was sold on Ebay for nearly $160 a week or so ago (and the set was only 12 episodes)
