High School DxD (light novel)
| I've just read spoilers for volume 16 and man what an absolutely OP volume. Not a lot of ecchi but there are fights, fights and more fights. Also some pretty big reveals. The power balance is going crazy. It's one intense volume. |

| I'm hoping for one but I should not set my hopes high... anyway if there will be one, I hope they focus more on the plot and romance..not saying they should remove the ecchi and fanservice though. |

| My point of view is the season 3 will be 12/13 episode covering volume 5 and 6 and maybe some filler of volume 8. volume 7 and 9 seems hard to adapt in season. The format that suit it the best are 40min OAV or movie. then season 4 can cover volume 10 to 12 with 20+ episode |

| There's no doubt there's going to be a season 3 with DxD's popularity. Most likely if DxD keeps being awesome like it is the sales will go up and up and the entire light novel series will be animated one day. Fall 2014 actually seems like the most likely time for Season 3, with an OVA or 2 over the early 2014/summer 2014, but either way I can't wait for Highschool DxD Season 3~! |

| They honestly need to animated at least through 12. And if they do I hope the end one season as a cliffhanger like vol 11 or 12. IS just kind of threw Madoka shooting Ichika into a random middle episode wasting a good cliff hanger. It really lost the impact of the light novel. |

| Ive heard varying opinions from many different people and it seems that the most agreeable thing is that the series will more than likely be given its next season with the next 6 - 8 months. All we can do is hope that the studio decides to continue the series ;D Oh does anyone know any good animes based off of the interest in highschool dxd? |

| I think sales are not an issue both vol. 1 and 2 broke 6-7000 in just their first week just on blu ray. Im pretty sure the mythical 5-10,000 mark that is always brought up is over the course of all volumes not per volume. If shows needed to put 10 k per volume we would have maybe 2 sequels period. Im also thinking sometime in 2014 for the next season. |

Second of all, the sales are averaging at least 7 K per volume, so sales are good and its a popular LN series. Lastly there is material around for at least 2 to 3 more seasons. The majority of the things you have mentioned have long been resolved and the plot has moved on to bigger and better things. Please at least read replies in a thread to make sure you are contributing something worth while, not spouting some random nonsense or parroting something that has already been covered several times over. |

| Actually, Ishibumi does supervise the anime's creation. Taking into account every LN volume so far, they have enough material for 5 more seasons outside the short story volumes (excluding vol15 and the last short story in vol8 considering both are important to the plot). Since the LN is very popular and the season 2 BD/DVD sales are doing very well, there will definitely be a season 3, which I'm looking forward to when it is finally announced (and of course, when it airs!) |
| The chance of them adapting all the novels is VERY low. Actually, I have never seen any studio doing like 7 seasons of an ecchi anime. They would have to, if they continue with the current pace at least. Heck, 7 seasons of any anime is really rare. If this was Gundam, then perhaps, lol. |

| Well I'm not sure if this would make a difference, but starting with volumes 5-6 (which would be season 3) the plot actually gets really good. As far as I have seen not a lot of ecchi shows have a good plot so that could influence the number of seasons, assuming it continues to be the success it currently is (which it most likely will). |

| i have a pretty good feeling that we may see another season. if not perhaps they will do something similar to what happened to Hellsing Ultimate: 50 minute ovas. There are still some loose ends that need to be wrapped up with second season: the red vs white dragon battle, Issei getting his familiar, Issei learning how to control his powers along with the other sacred gear hosts. not to mention it seems as though a new enemy called Ophis has entered the scene. if there isnt a third season someone will pay in blood ;P |
