Serious question here: what do people like about this show? It bores the hell out of me but it's been received well.
Only if you find insights about agriculture and agricultural workers in japan are something boring. Of course there are tons of humor, some of them quite fresh and creative, and then there is also personal growth story there. My question would be: HOW the hell could it be boring???
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Great episode and my completely random curiosity for agriculture and farming life has been quenched yet again. Kinda feel bad for Hachiken, he gets cockblocked in the some of the worst ways I've ever seen lol. Not sure what's worse: getting cockblocked by a dead bear or getting cockblocked by a father who's like a bear? XD

Pretty good episode.
I learned something new yet again by what cows born with and stuff.
My god, that lady's laugh is quite awful.
Wow. So that's how Aki don't want to said it out loud by people that she don't like dairy farming.
Dang. Pork pig will be eaten soon. Holy shit.
4.5/5 will round the score.

Since that's become sort of a cliché I was relieved that the Gigafarm isn't made out to be this huge evil corporate empire

GigaFarm isn't a giant corporate empire. It's a partnership of four families. Dairy farms tend to be like that. There is a dairy farm in the US with 30,000 cows, owned by nine families. They have ten rotary milking parlors, with 72 positions each, compared to GigaFarm's single one with 40 positions.

How much gnashing there in alternating comic scenes to those of agricultural reality. Are less and less enticed to eat what little meat consumption. Hachiken is increasingly MC, as well as the father of Mikage a small niche it also Tamako! LOL
Design that maintains a good level this time and good animations.
I really am liking this series.

I'm a little bit concerned about the virtually identical DNA of Tamako's parents.

Also this is probably one of the few comedy series I have to ponder about me giggling at scenes which wouldn't be so funny in real life, like the happy-go-lucky road killing spree.

There's serious moments too. So Aki wants to work with horses, but she's not telling it to her parents.

Yohoho, another great episode!
I actually like the inside of different animal farms. Kinda want to know about it more after watching this series.

Mikage's family is hilarious. Her father's stare is immediately reminds me of FullMetall Alchemist and Elric's face :D

Tamako's mom was thinking something naughty about a horse hehehe

Hachiken's really annoying when he goes on about people's dreams or whatnot. I guess maybe because I really don't get where he's coming from. I mean what the hell happened in his middle school? what's his problem with his family? tsk. Until it's revealed Hachiken will remain an annoying angsty brat to me.

Glad that I'm watching this after starting my new field of work which is connected with farming. Glad to real merry-go-round in anime! that was quite entertaining. Also so glad that farms are showed that close to real ones that we are designing and how work is organise here - that adds even more points to this slice of REAL farming life

This episode strengthened my doubts regarding dropping this Anime. I was really looking forward to it after the pilot since it has such unique premise but I am disappointed and dissatisfied with how it turned out so far. Overall it is a fine series but I was expecting it to be more.
The thing that made me help make up my mind is the part about the birth of the calf, which should have been its point getter. I have seen it happen in real so I guess that is why I am not impressed with it and instead whining on the parts it dint get right. A new born calf never sits quite like a dead duck like they showed, it is full of life trying to stand and run around every space it can find. I have seen people pull the calf from within cow's womb but not with ropes and not all at once .that is too dangerous and reckless. Imagine doctors pulling out human children the same way from birthing mothers. It can injure the newborn as well as the mother. Secondly, the rotary machine pains the cows since it is pinched on their udders. It is not as awesome as it looks. Overall this episode really got me mad over how it conveniently dodged bad things about dairy farming and made a parody out of the calf birth process.
