Finally, a clever multi-pronged attack from the owner. We have him forcing Mihara to win (meaning Tokuchi will play), and feeding the other team's manager the team's signs (is obvious, if not explicit) and a cash prize for winning. Doesn't feel like Tokuchi will lose, though. He just doesn't do that.

Spelled Blue Mars, pronounced "Bloomers". So that's what they are to be called from now on.

Very interesting episode.

Glad it is over against the bugaboos for now, nice with some fresh air.
I also liked that this episode was a little bit off the court to, so it is some variation in it.
Definitely on of the best episodes in my opinion:)

This certainly seems to be an interesting game. Looking forward to the next episodes.

Filler episode, but shows the deep level of research and thought Tokuchi puts into his schemes. In this particular respect, it works even better than Akagi. It's not really just some plot nonsense, there's some actual backbone behind the plots.

Unfortunately the rest of the episode's filler and set up for the next arc, but still worth the small peek behind the Wizard's curtain.

Oh Kuckleballers. Next week will be fun.

Looks to be interesting, but a very overused way in going about it with the team that's just like the Bugaboos with a pale, blonde pitcher with a "weird" pitch. I'll hold my breath though.

Yep, that blonde dude is definitely going to be a strong contender.
I can't wait how Tokuchi would solve their so-called cheating in the game though.

Glad to know we won't be seeing Johnson even though most of his "Oh shit!" reactions were entertaining.

It seems the Lycaeons can't ever get good batting and pitching to occur in the same game for them.

Well, that certainly was a much more satisfying explanation to the "throwing the ball faster" or "beat Johnson psychologically" or "moving the base back".

I think the anime tricked us into thinking it will be some bullshit tricky thing like the rest of the shenanigans we've seen.

I like this episode because it shows what Tokuchi does when he is not in a baseball game. At least he did do some research of how to win the game.

Poor Johnsons just got injured by the Blue Mars team.

looks like their bats are a few inches bigger, at least the guys hitting home runs anyway. There's specific sizes limits and rules on what material a bat can be made out of for each league, but umpires normally don't measure to make sure.

Happy to see we didn't have to watch another episode with Johnson...I hate these 3 game episodes.

brilliant set-up episode. I agree with the OP, the sign stealing was pretty obvious from the very beginning of the game. now that's the scores tied, I'm looking forward to what kind of pitcher's "duel" will occur between Tokuchi and that Knuckleballer.

though I'm kind of disappointed that there's no one on the other team with a big mouth and a short fuse. no target of Tokuchi's taunting? no RAGE in this set of games? ;_;

Rodrigo or whatever will probably be our source of angry outbursts. He doesn't seem too bright, though...

It will be interesting how this battle with the BlueMars plays out. Can't wait for the next ep.
