| First time seeing Takumi flustered. Guess first away race would do that to you. His adaptability incredible as always though. |

| Mako having to rely on her co-driver is her weakness. Nowhere near as good as the other drivers Takumi has faced, just has more knowledge of the track. |

| Yeah, no matter how you look at it, 2-year experience versus none at all is just pure bullshit. And i laughed at their argument, debating their figure and weight while racing. I guess even on wheels girls remain girls. |

| This race has been really cool so far! Takumi is feeling the pressure for the first time, he's racing in an unknown pass against someone that mastered it just like he mastered Akina's. I also really liked the dynamic between Mako and Sayuki, they were in perfect sync until Takumi's skills made Sayuki lose her cool for a moment, but they got back on their feet, and now they can give their all again. But I guess that two years can't defeat five, Takumi really seems to be on a league of his own. |

| This is the first time is saw Takumi scared because of being new to the pass and he's out of sync. While the girls having an advantage knowing the pass this is gonna be a hard race |

| Usui is way different from Akina indeed, but their results are pretty much equal, even if it Takumi's first time on this route and he doesn't have a pilot nearby! Heh, common argument between women may occur anytime anywhere; doesn't matter if it's inside the car or outside of it. ;p |

| First time Takumi ever had a hard time during a race. Well, hes finally got the hang of it. |

| So I guess it's like never ask who delivers tofu equates to never ask a girl their weight I swear I only get it on a surface level like it's the equivalent of telling they're fat but I didn't know it'd be so harsh Quite reliable to lean on Sayuki on the road while driving but that's really going to bottleneck her performance as relying on Sayuki hinders like her all in all track knowledge who am I to say the beats are bangers. And it felt like this is a 12 minute episode that fast already and I see the ED fuck |

| I had mix feelings about this one. I'm sure the writers didn't want viewers to see it this way, but it was hard not to keep thinking how awful Mako/Sayuki were to allow this race to go on without encouraging Takumi to...oh i don't know, like maybe spend a night or two making practice runs so that he wouldn't get killed? Plus how can Mako really feel like she "passed the final exam" when she has such a huge home course advantage? Anyway i understand wanting to create as much tension as possible and wanting to keep showing the MC overcoming a stacked deck against him and all, but to me it ended up making the characters look more evil (in the case of the girls) or more stupid (in the case of the boys) than how they were meant to be seen. In fact i don't think they were meant to be seen as evil or stupid at all (leaving aside Itsuki, i mean). Yes to be fair they did offer to let Takumi go first in which case he would have had essentially a practice run, but still they talked about how no one had ever navigated the most dangerous curve there at high speed except for them. Which is why to me they look especially selfish and callous, caring about winning the race (and simply for ego at that!) and not at all concerned about the very real possibility that Takumi's car might go hurtling off a cliff. ....and yet despite all my grumblings here i still found myself really into the race and overall liked this episode, so go figure lol. |
