| It's all a matter of perspective, from a distance the adult Tama looked beautiful with that aerodynamic silhouette and the long flowing tail...of course you had to be several kilometers away to see that. |

| By accident I watched this episode before ep 3, but it's not like it really matters for this anime. Predictable or not, the episode was ok. The dragon was totally kawaii when he was little, but quite ugly when he grew up :D That's normal bcs many of the demons seems to be ugly for my taste ;p But the nezumi(mouse) Yoakai was really badass in his human form. |

| Tama is so adorable! I love how Nyanko-sensei took care of the egg, he's like a mother XD It was sad to see Tama leave though...seriously, goodbyes are always so heartbreaking. |
| This was actually a really good episode, and would have been a great one if the episode were longer. For some reason, it felt like Madara and Natsume were acting very out of character in this episode. They were immediately obsessing over raising the egg. I understand that this is a feeling of affection and love for caring for another life. But the way it was directed in this episode, it kind of creeped me out. If the episode had a little more build up, and if Natsume and Madara become obsessive over time, not immediately like the way it was portrayed, I would have enjoyed it more. But this is the pitfall of a 20 minute run time though. They just seemed to act so strange in this episode to me. And it's sad, because the last 3 episodes were EXCELLENT! I can understand why people would love this episode. It had a similar feel to episodes from Clannad After Story with Tamoya raising Ushio. But I just had a very weird feeling when it came to the main characters actions. I wonder, when Natsume was flying with the dragon at the end, since people can't see spirits like he can, does that mean from a ground perspective that it looks like super man is flying in the sky? Loved the scene with Touko Fujiwara cooking the Taiyaki for Natsume. Keep pursuing your dreams! ~ Wynn |

| Great episode! Tama was hella cute! (But i think the Fox child was cuter!) I find it funny how Natsume has an affinity for young boys and not women who are clearly into him... Food for thought xD What did he leave behind at the end? WHAT DID HE LEAVE BEHIND??? Kuandohan said: Good question. What would that look like to a regular person? | I disagree with the people who didn't like it, I think this was my favorite episode in the entire Natsume series so far! Tama was so cute.. and then it became the giant bird LOL. But it was so cute seeing Natsume be like a father.. But what was in the nest? KYAH it was so adorable when Tama was calling Natsume over to come inside the nest. |

| I've been wondering for awhile These one episode characters, they'll appear again in the future to help Natsume right? If they're not then it's just.. well shame, I guess? Because almost all side characters are thrown away just like that |

| This episode is one of the few that I like, how sweet the story of Tama-chan, what a pity that the episode is so short. The narrative is very sweet, another little gem that makes this one of the best anime series. I'm sorry it's a self-contained story, I wanted to see Tama-chan as a child, in at least a couple of episodes. |

| Wow, this was beautiful, definitely one of the most memorable episodes in both seasons so far. It left me with a strong feeling of bittersweet longing. On the other hand, objectively speaking, Natsume now has a dragonbird child! It would be awesome to see Tama again. |

| Nyanko-sensei keeping the egge warm was so cute; made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :) The egge hatched into a shota! A pleasant surprise to be sure. Seeing Tama-chan grow up was so adorable. He's just so innocent! I got worried when Tama got malnourished. If he died, I wouldn't have been able to handle it. ; _ ; Tama transforming into that giant bird was kinda terrifying, but it was nice knowing that he still remembered Natsume and Nyanko-sensei. Was sad seeing Tama fly away. I hope we see him again; his shota form was so adorable. Great episode. 9/10 |
