Hmmm. I thought that it was good, but could've been better. To be honest I think Afro coming back to life was a mistake, it would've been epic to have had them all dead there, or Afro only just killing his father or something like that, but to be brought back to life by electricity from Jinno's body?... Come on. |

Slept all the movie through. The plot is veeeeery boring and not emotional at all. The graphics was amazing, as always, but the action killed it all. I liked the original Afro much more. |

Afro is not a likeable character. Or at least they don't make him out to be. On top of that the ending was completely copped out, and he just started a cycle that should have never been started. The first series was alright (with its somewhat limited connections and revenge plot). I just didnt feel it from the characters, Sio and that new samurai were really good and I felt that it could have ended a lot differently, but just the way it was resolved on all ends. I dont know, but Im not watching anymore of this crap. |

My two peeves with this movie: How Afro comes back from the dead and the middle was kinda boring, save the fight with number 2. Besides that I thought it was pretty good. Of course it looked awesome which we've just come to expect from the series, the story was kinda whatever IMO. The beginning and end were spectacular. I'd give the movie an 8/10. Music didn't really work for the whole thing either. But still enjoyable. |

Blood and gore right from the top! I like that!! I guess the next movie will be an older Kintaro looking to take the #1 headband from Afro. Samuel Jackson as Afro and Liam O'Brien as Shichiguro was awesome! ![]() ![]() |

MassiveAddict said: Oh hey, wait. Didn't Jinno have the #2 Headband in the last episode of the series? How did he lose it? Didn't he die?He sure was dead in resurrection though O.o Anyway, she has got to be the worst antagonist of a series ever..by the end i had totally forgot what was her motivation for even doing all that.lol |

Short version, as the white-haired dude would say; Oh man, that shiet was crazy! And that kind of sums up my thoughts on this one : D Overall a good movie, though it was somewhat.. Slow somewhere like 1/3 in. Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile. |

To be honest i'm kind of disappointed by this, most of the music was pretty bad, the story wasn't interesting enough and the ending of the film was just too..... wierd. The ending could've been better. But i love the opening of the film and all the fight scenes. The animation was brilliant (720p Director's Cut), voice acting was also excellent, some good humour here and there with Afro's Ninja buddy. The little cliffhanger teasing for another film (or series whichever it may be) was a nice thing, i guess Justice is coming back, although i thought he was gonna be in this film, and there was a person with the broken samurai mask who had more than half his body missing talking O_o, okay wierd. The story doesn't explain what happened since the end of the series, but we are given clues like Jinno lost to Afro, AGAIN and the Dr had to repair him, AGAIN. The little defibrillator moment was quite cheesy (electric current acting as CPR), HD making the kills and the blood look even more beautiful. I think they should've kept Afro's hobo look, i didn't like it when he went back to his old shaven face and clothes. The antagonists of this film were pretty annoying seeing as they didn't even care over the fact why Afro had to do what he did, and understanding that he only killed those who most probably had come for his headband, that kind of pissed me off. In the end every kill that was made boils down to vengeance, or greed. After that, i can say that this film could've been much better. I'll give it a 8/10, would've been a 6 but the good things push it up. The series i say is 9/10. There's probably some more that i could go on about this film but, i'll leave it be for now. |

In my opinion, this was way better than the tv series: eventhough it wasn't a short movie they managed to fit the story perfectly unlike the tv series where the plot needed more episodes to develop. The plot had much more drama than the first one and I really appreciated the more fluid fights not to mention that the songs sounded better with the flow of the scenes and the characters were well defined, especially Shio and Gino. |

What a great addition to the Afro Samurai's universe. The "new" characters are insane and the conclusion was surprisingly dramatic and thoughtful! The action in this one provides some of the most visually stunning and daring fights I've ever seen. This type of animated fighting is already a different style in its one, a la Afro Samurai style! |

The soundtrack is so bad it's good. This was better than the TV series, IMO. Still leaves space for a sequel, I'll be waiting. 6/10, 3/5. |
