| MAN this arc is so fucking amazing. it takes everything you expect and turns it on its head. 1) mureum is the best/worst villain so far. villain seems like too trivial a word to describe him - he's just like a wild force, rules because he expects to and ready to kill you on a whim. chrollo was a villain, mureum's just scary. im dreading which character hes gonna murder, cause i know its happening 2) i totally thought the boys were gonna win. i wasnt sure how. the characters kept repeating how the odds were stacked, logic dictates that the disciples of top masters would beat 12 yr old boys, but i still thought they were gonna win cause the consequences seemed too heavy if they didnt. i fully thought they were gonna cross the border together and the shock i received when gon started crying made not seeing the fights play out worth it poor killua. as if gon would let him leave |

| hearing Ichika's voice coming from a very powerful villain.... well whatever.. he killed that innocent little girl and ate her brain! I want him dead.. now!! oh well.. I was expecting Gon and Killua to win... like always.. but this twist caught me off guard.. nice!! but I'm sensing two things: 1. Knuckle and Shoot won because they will meet their end in NGL and/ or 2. After 30 days Gon and Killua would follow.. I mean in chess you send the pawns first... and the more important guys follow. |

| Dat KING! First half was really enjoyable, second half slowed down a little. Sigh the fight was skipped. We didn't even get to see how the King kills off the child, damn. I like that part between the King and Neferpitou, it was interesting. I slightly dislike the part with Morel, the other dude, and Colt though. Edit: Seriously though, I don't understand why did Killua have to obey Bisky and leave Gon? So that he won't be able to abandon him when the time comes? |

| Gon finally realizes how weak he is compared to the Ants. Love that this series isn't as cliched as most other Shounen. |
| SO sad, on so many levels. Why'd it have to go in this direction? I'm hating the representation of Chimera ants more and more. They could have been so much more interesting but instead 95% of them are evil sadistic over powered bastards. |

| Watching this arc again, I think one of my favorite scenes is Colt surrendering, putting so much pressure on the flag pole he breaks it, and declares "He is.....they are all..devils" then it cuts to the excellent image of the King and the Royal Guard flying to the field where the family is slaughtered (love how that scene is shot, btw. The look of pure terror, mixed with confusion on the child's face. Not seeing the girl die is arguably more disturbing than seeing it happen). One hell of a first impression for, imo, one of the greatest anime villains I've ever seen. |

| So the King forced himself to birth prematurely. I wonder if he would have been even stronger had he waited... He's ruthless. The village scene in particular was heavy. It sounds like the resurrected Kite somehow, yet they were using puppet strings in the other episode. What the heck are they doing with his body? ._. Colt surrenders to Netero's group. I wonder how this will work out. Annnnd, Gon and Killua were defeated. I'm not surprised. It sounds like Killua couldn't overcome his "curse" either. I wonder what they'll do now. |

And wow, I'm not even sure what to say about the king...except that Colt is right. The King and his Royal Guards are devils. I almost thought he would say monsters, but then all the chimera ants are pretty much monsters... And noooo Killua saying that after the 30 days it's good bye to Gon. I doubt that's really gonna happen but it's still sad to hear Killua's voice when he thought it. |

| Nah, it's cool. I know a lot of people are sick of it by now, or at least it seems that way. But, the King is all over the OP so I figured there was no way you had seen it. You should at least give it a look before the arc ends, the good news is that all of the characters shown in the OP will have been introduced by now as well. |

| Yeah yeah the King had a badass entrance, he's a ruthless bastard, haha Pitou got slapped, blah. that's pretty much a majority of the posts here anyway Youpi flying for the first time though, that was hilarious. At first I wasn't sure what to expect from him since he didn't stand out like the other royal guards. Now I'm really interested in seeing more of his ability. |

| Finally the great Ant king makes his appearance which is hands down, the best and most complex developed character in the series. This episode was so intense, every time i see that scene where the child gets killed, i start having heart palpitations. First of all you see first hand where the kinds loyalties lie. You also begin to see just how different he is, even though not much has been explained about him you can kind of see how he's very observant of his surroundings and takes after the humans much more then the other ant soldiers. One of the big moments for me in this episode was when the chimera ants completely surrendered to the humans for help in saving there queen. The way togashi actually made me feel sympathy for these chimera ants in this arc is just brilliant. Another really amazing moment is when the ant king (i feel so stupid not saying his name lol) tried to kill pitou, this shows and indicates that he has no mercy for anyone that is weaker then him and even if its his supreme royal guards, he won't hesitate. and the end of the episode with gon and killua loosing there way and not what they want to do. Also the animation in this was just amazing, props to studio madhouse. I remember the manga being god awfully terrible. I guess togashi as learned from his crappy drawings cause currently its actually pretty damn good. |

| I'd just like to say, watching this art is incredibly stressful, painful and depressing. It's good, but I just want to stop watching because I'm getting too emotional over 2D characters. I even feel sad when the no-name side characters got their heads ripped off by King. They'd better give the King some kind of good-willed backstory or whatever or I'll be hating him for the next 30 episodes. Anyway, the last part makes me so sad as well. Btw, Colt is still my favourite ant out of all of them. The most human-like of all. |
