This is a distance from the 60k mark many speculate it can reach in the 1st week and far below the Stalker prediction of 54.3k + 23.0k = 76.3k sales (-25% or one quarter less)

It is also far from the first week sales of Madoka v1 52944 BD + 9097 DVD = 62041

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

And Shingeki no Kyojin is #1. Not surprising in the slightest. Great to see the soundtrack doing well, too. Hiroyuki Sawano is quickly becoming one of my favourite musicians for anime.

Wow, that's great to hear. I really love the music in Symphogear. It was the CDs that I looked forward to when the first season was airing.

With the second season much better in most aspects than the first season in my opinion, 10 CD singles would definitely make the second season even more enjoyable, as I have more to look forward to, haha.

Errr.. How recent do you have in mind? It is not as if it was released only 1 or 2 days before the cut-off date for Oricon and so has this not too exciting sales number... It was released just like other singles like the Free OP or Symphogear char song, which is July 17th.

I am surprised to see not one but two people so allergic to mentions of Madoka. Which BTW I seem to be in the minority in seeing HS DxD New as not as good as season 1. And I am not AT ALL surprised that the music sales are lower, the OP and ED of season one were super awesome while season 2 for me they are just meh.

hp, while I agree on DxD NEW's ED being atrociously bad, I can't say the same about the OP and, more importantly, the series itself. If you enjoyed the first season as much as you say you did, then I suggest you stay patient and wait for the sequel to end before making such a finite assessment.
That is, if you haven't read the novels. If by chance you did then you should know what you're in for anyway.

No, I am not reading the HS DxD novels. I have spoiled myself on some summaries and later developments made me pass on it. That and I am reading way, way, waaaay too many series already and do not have enough hours in a month to keep up as it is. The unread books on my shelf make me sad as it is...

So I am just watching this one as an anime viewer only and so far it is not as compelling and Funimation having the censored version even in Elite is killing much of the fun for me. Perhaps I should be evil and find some AT-X downloads... Which I hate doing, sigh...

But I will listen to the OP New again...

Well, I always get to see SnK first, but not because my desire to watch SnK is stronger but because in SnK I usually just need to let the episode run on its own and watch once. In the case of C3, HDxD, Symphogear or Free I find myself keep going back to certain scenes because I find them enjoyable for repeat watch LOL

I guess most people would definitely say the OP/ED, be it the music or the animation, is weaker in season 2. As for the anime itself, it varies from person to person. For me, while I enjoyed season 1 a great deal I also like to see how main characters get further development or have their back stories explored in the new season, and the new characters are appealing so far too. So to me I'd say with the exception of the OP/ED, season 2 is just as good.

Woah SnK almost dominating all the chart lol. While it sales lower than Madoka, it still impressive I must say.
I wonder how much it could hold after this since there are much more competition next week (Railgun S, Madoka movies, Love Life, Ore Imo)

Madoka movie for next week will be a killer. Can't wait to see the movie.

Speaking of next week, I looking forward to Railgun S sales since this season more focus on Misaka & less spotlight with other girls which push the first season success.
I don't think it will affect much the sales & it even has great boost in animation but still curious nonetheless.

One thing to note, ONE DAY BEFORE THE RELEASE DATE, it is announced today that the BD/DVD release of Aku no Hana is indefinitely postponed. It only gave some vague reason about "flaws in part of the stock".

I don't care if SnK breaks any records or not as long as its sales proves to be good to ensure later seasons. I have to say it is the best manga adaptation that I've seen so far.
