Mizuiro Jidai Aishiteruze Baby Glass Mask Hana Yori Dango Mamalade Boy And even though it's not a "no magic" shoujo, you definitely should give Full Moon wo Sagashite a try. |

Depends on what you mean by romance... can you be a little more specific? (Ex: Do you like drama, feel good stuff, cliche stuff, slow moving or fast moving, characters face obstacles before a relationship or after a relationshiop, etc) |

I second Bokura ga Ita and Victorian Romance Emma Also Ai Yori Aoshi, Lamune and Peach Girl For series that have good romance but also a lot of other plot devices, you might want to try Nodame Cantabile - music + romance Saiunkoku Monogatari - political + romance Gakuen Alice - romance is a bit vague..but since you like Kodocha.... |

I think the best romance anime is Maison Ikkoku. Other great anime are School Rumble and Kare Kano MAL Bug #4315b - Signature not Found |

Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien ... although it isn't shoujo. Shoujo romance... yeah, the ones I can think of are like Hana Yori Dango, Kare Kano, Marmalade Boy, Aishiteruze Baby, Ouran High School Host Club, Fruits Basket, Ultra Maniac, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, Ayashi no Ceres, Fushi Yuugi, Kin`iro no Chord: Primo Passo, Haruka Naru Toki no Naka de: Hachiyoushou and while the anime unfortunately has a bit of a transforming girl element, watching Full Moon wo Sagashite is definately recommended. |

A lot of the ones listed are really good recommendations - I'd also add: Honey & Clover I & II NANA |

Of what I've seen so far, I'd definately second Honey & Clover, School Rumble (Which has a greater focus on the comedy, but it develops its romance remarkably), and Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. And I'd add to the list 5 Centimeters Per Second. Edit: It's true. I like my top ten anime a little too much :( Modified by asandari, 10-21-07, 10:12 AM |

asandari said: Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. IF I HAD A DOLLAR FOR EVERY TIME YOU SAID THAT. It's good though, for sure. It makes me sad Lamune has only been mentioned once. Lamune is probably my favorite series of the genre. |

Okay. so if you liked kodocha, i'd defenitely reccomend marmalade boy. Kodocha is like the cracked out version of marmalade boy. though MB has a lot of drama and such. other ones i'd second/reccomend - honey and clover : probably one of the best romances ive watched (besides marmalade boy) - kareshi kanojo no jiyou - bokura ga ita (very good) - full moon wo sagashite (also good, but has some magic) - Peach girl - la corda d'oro - paradise kiss - hana yori dango |

Hmm... well my first romance anime was Kanon. I think you would also like CLANNAD and maybe Air too. |

Yokohama Kidaishi Kikou any of the Makoto Shinkai movies(5cm per Second, Voices of a Distant Star, The Place Promised in Our Early Days) Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora Most of the others I could think of have already been suggested. Bokura ga Ita was pretty popular, I think, although I didn't much care for it. I also recommend one of Makoto Shinkai's movies/OVAs, and Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo is also very good (saw it this sunday). |
