I also rather liked the manga, but I recall it having straight nudity in it, so if anything, SHAFT probably would have had to tone it down. I could be wrong as I've never seen any part of the anime. Though I'm one of the peculiar types where nudity, male/female/otherwise, doesn't grate me or get under my skin like excessive jiggling and panty shots will. |

I share the same feeling as you do though, mostly because jiggling and panty shots usually just serve as nothing more than fan service. While nudity, in some quality series, can act as a powerful indicator that serve to represent some issue such as female embodiment, sexist perspective, etc.. and what do you mean by "nudity, male/female/otherwise".... |

I am with you on this one. Not completely sure why I feel so. Perhaps it's got to do with what doraemon said - that jiggling and panty shots will almost invariably be just for fanservice/tittilation and nudity can be much more than that (although I admit it's often used for fanservice as well). For example, nudity for Mine Fujiko in the last year Lupin III series is a part of her character and a means of obtaining what she wants. Thus, it never bothered me in the least. Ofc, it was rather artistically done, so that may also be part of the reason. Another example is nudity in that one Kaiji arc.
