Damn it, that must of hurt like hell. Great episode. I knew the series got gloom and doom now in this arc. The OST was great too. So Killura realizes how powerful Pitou is also comparing them to Hisoka and Illumni. I wonder if Pitou is stronger than either of them.. HOLY SHIT: |

 DON!!!! *Black Out* Pretty special episode of Hunter x Hunter this week There's Ging's license! I honestly was expecting Madhouse to leave it out but of course they show it RIGHT BEFORE Kite's stage exit. I also liked that Kite mentions being a Hunter is really about how strong your resolve is not necessarily power levels. If we know one thing about Gon after watching his progress so far it's that his resolve is probably the strongest of any person in the world. Things are coming full circle here. Madhouse even snuck in the Hunter commandments which plays a role in the future! The tension during Pitou's attack was through the roof finishing with the rain soaking down on them giving off a Western Standoff vibe. Lots of new OST tracks premiered this episode which all complemented the scenes perfectly. The music/sound direction this arc in general has just been superb Morel, Knov, and Netero arrive on the scene! What Morel says about a Nen battle couldn't be more true about how real encounters go down. You don't know what kinds of abilities the opponent may have so you fight with the expectation to win no matter what(Going back to the resolve thing again). Killua and Gon were intimidated by Pitou's crimson purple aura, just as they had been intimidating the lower class ants before, which was their downfall according to the adults Morel's my favorite character in the entire arc so I was hyped as hell that we finally saw him. Killua's last conversation highlights once again the special relationship Gon and him have with each other. Gon is the yang to Killua's yin and Killua reaffirms he needs Gon in his life. Gon's optimism with that string soundtrack couldn't have been more ironic for the scene to follow.....BASED MADHOUSE Edit: Changed yin/yang, screw up on my part bahaha Based off the preview, I was right in predicting that the pace of the anime would be going back to "normal" after NGL if we're already seeing Pouf, Knuckle, Palm(Can't forget Shoot : P) and Bisky Tune in next week or this woman will torment you for the rest of your days |

| I thought there were too much filler in the previous episodes but I think it was because they needed to adjust the pace to the anime format. I am not disapointed by this episode, it's exactly what happened in the manga (besides the license thing which was moved around). People who are used to hunter X hunter should not be that surprised by this. This is not the kind of anime where the loser in a fight can escape alive like nothing happened. The ant arc was set to be a drama type of arc from the start too. Pitou's birth was the event that really got things out of control. |

| You know, when I read the manga, I always assumed that the anime would use the attack by Neferpitou at the end of an episode and leave you with a cliffhanger there. But, Madhouse surprised me a bit this episode by making that the mid-episode climax and ending with the powerful image of Pitou sitting there with Kite's head in his lap. Frankly, I think I like their way better than what I had originally imagined - so good job with that. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the all the new cast introductions that look to be coming next week. |
| So Gon and Killua basically have to surpass Kite to beat these big ass bugs. And damn did you guys see Neferpitou's leg muscles when she practically jumped a football field. I'm guessing shes a cat and a human. And Kite basically sacrificed himself he knew he couldn't kill that thing. |

| We are about ~10% done the Chimera Ant arc and it's been a fun ride so far. I was waiting for this fight to be animated for a while and it didn't let me down. The beginning of the episode set up a nice tone allowing for Kite to get more depth as a character and also make us like him a bit more. And it was only a few minutes later when Neferpitou showed up to fight him. I'm not sure how many people noticed this, but Neferpitou was able to sense Kite all the way from the Chimera Ant colony (En). Killua at the beginning of the episode mentioned that Nen masters are only able to reach 50 m. So how far does Pitou's En stretch? Pretty damn far I'd say. After re-watching the Kaito v Pitou I noticed Kaito didn't mention anything about the roll he got. The way Neferpitou said "I guess I'm a little strong" was kind of cute. Anyways next episode, 3 of this arcs major league players show up. Oh and Biscuit. |

| YES YES YES!!! They didn't prolong Kite's fate! I'm so glad they revealed that infamous decapitated scene from the manga at the end of this episode. It shows that there is no hope for him. I LOVE THIS SHOW! |

Gantz does the same thing. i dont think gantz considered as SHOUNEN Fine, Dragon Ball, DN, FMA, One Piece, Naruto, etc. But I think in terms of manga/anime as a whole, I consider Gantz as being well known for killing off lovable characters. |
