Guys, it's not MangaFox's fault... it's their ad company.

Ofcourse, you could just use a site that doesn't jpgfies and downscales the pages like Mangahut or Mangatoshokan. Or use a combination of Domdomsoft manga downloader and CDisplay (or whatever tickles your fancy).

Go Chrome, or go home...

And if it's such a big problem, maybe you should think about installing an anti-virus with a resident shield.

and more on topic: I've never had any problems with mangafox

I almost got killed on MangaFox when I used Internet Explorer.

I've found out that it's worse on really old versions of internet explorer. It causes everything to automatically shut down. However, I switched to FireFox and everything was fixed!!!

I tend to avoid MangaFox because of problems I had there getting viruses and such. Once in a while if I really can't find another manga I'm interested in somewhere else, I'll try. I haven't been there in a long time, but it use to wreck havoc on my computer.

Also, on a computer on campus too. Whoops.

I can't read 3 pages on mangafox without my browser crashing. I usually end up with multiple Trojans if I don't act fast.

I suggest using Onemanga for online scans, and anything that they don't have you can download from Mangatraders.

Mangafox = bad.

Seems people have problems knowing where the true fault is coming from.

MangaFox is absolutely no problem to use. I use Opera (world's fastest browser) and I haven't experienced any problems.
Any serious site would never ever let their websites be infected with malware, and none of MangaFox' sites cause you to download something (except for the mangas).

The problem lies with the ads. Amongst the hundreds of various ads, there might be a bad one or two, that pops up and tries to do bad stuff to your computer. Usually, a website removes these if they can, but it's not always they have the power to do so.
So, tell MangaFox about these problems you're having, note down which ad that is causing the problem, and get a proper web-browser.

Virus and Malware, in most cases, self-inflicted.

I have virus software and use firefox. I just go another fake windows software while reading on mangafox. This is like the third time this year, and unfortunately on my work computer again. It has disabled everything and now I have to call my IT to get another new laptop. I WILL NEVER use mangafox again. Too risky since nothing seems to stop the trojans or other malware from breaking thru. I will miss them since it is like the best place to read online, but back to IRC and downloading again. I got no warning, click on no ad, it just started downloading and got thru McAfree.

Alright, after today I don't think I'll ever use Mangafox ever again. I tried to read one of my favorite mangas, and AVG detected about a dozen different trojans attacking my netbook at once. Even after using Malwarebytes to remove them, I still don't feel confident that I got them all despite not being able to detect anything anymore.

This is the second time this happened to me while reading on Mangafox. The first time was so long ago and so minor I ignored it, but after today I'll just stick with Onemanga's site.

your problem: failure to use firefox with adblocker plus. the ads are the ones that give you the trojans, block the ads and you block the viruses

Well mangafox, aside from porno sites, is the only site thats ever given my computer viruses. I think some people seriously fail at the interwebs "COMPUTER WITH POP-UP BLOCKER CAN WITHSTAND ANY VIRUS! DEAR GOT YES!"

Internet Explorer + smart web browsing = less bitching from dumb people.

Mangafox killed one of my computers with 50 different viruses/trojans a year ago, now I never go there on a PC and will only use my new iMac when reading there.

Stay away from Mangafox unless you have a Mac it's that bad.

Scanners from Yahoo, Norton, and McAfee detects that the website itself is safe so the problem will most likely come from the ads. My friend's computer froze while she and I got lethal attacks from trojan viruses. So, unless you're using a machine that doesn't allow certain downloads (such as the Wii), DON"T GO ON MANGAFOX.
It's true that the website's manga links are deadly.

I used the Wii to access the website since it doesn't allow downloads from websites. You can access youtube videos but the Wii doesn't block ads, so Don't try loading videos from Mega Upload.

Mangafox has given me lots of problems when I use Internet Explorer.
When I went on Mangafox through IE I would get tons of network attacks and viruses still got through even though I have a very good secuity program on my computer....
Firefox w/ ADP & NoScript is the way to go if you want to go on mangafox ... just as a lot of people have already said. =]

I used Manga Fox a lot back then. Had to rely on it since my first manga site went down. I did notice it was a little slow, but it didn't crash my computer or show any pop ups. Do you guys even have a firewall for your computers?

Nowadays, I depend on mangatoshokan.

Edit: Nevermind. That site lost a lot of good manga.

Step1: Get another anti virus beside Norton and McAfee.
Step2: Get firefox or chrome
Step3: Delete all the porn you have on your computer.
Conclusions: No viruses. Ever.

I believe that all the problems I have read refer to viruses on mangafox.I have never gotten a single virus on mangafox but it has redirected me to stuff that says that this website has a problem and to protect your computer we redirected you to this.Something like that. But I refer that you go to onemanga because its safer. But go quick because onemanga is closing in a week!

Mangafox having viruses? No.

But, the ads on it do all sorts of dumb stuff that might slow you down or mess you up. I'm pretty sure the ads are virus/trojan/etc free, however.

If they are, then it's something that any simple anti-virus can take care of (even the free Avast and free AVG).

I have thought about creating a new topic for this issue, but this one is already here. I use IE9, so I do not think adblock would work, and recently, the ads have been getting really annoying, playing videos with audio whenever I open a different page as I am reading. Does anyone else has this problem, and what is the solution?

Yeahhh, I've had problems in the past, too.

On my old computer a few years ago, I got a bunch of viruses and sometimes couldn't even open the website correctly.

On my dad's laptop, I went on there once, and it crashed the computer. -.-

However, on the computer I'm using now, I've never had any problems. It's the newest of the 3, so perhaps that's why?

The solution is to stay the hell away from Internet Explorer and get either Firefox or Chrome. Or opera even.

But why oh why would you use IE?
