rofl the subbers typed in "oh god yoshinoya is hot"

she is hawt indeed...

mm, and this episode was actually better than the first one IMO. and you know something they all actually look like they could possibly be in high school when they're in their yukatas, as opposed to when in their seifuku they all look like they're in kindergarten.a

This show is really random, but I like it :D

The first thing I thought when I downloaded this was "Why is the first one standard and the rest wide-screen?" Anyway, this show once again has revitalized my love for Studio Shaft's crazy art style, with random subliminal images flashing by. I liked this episode better than the first, don't really know why but I did.

She does? It's the same thing every time: Kagami, Yomi, and now Hiro: characters who are probably within a healthy weight range and look really good but who are constantly insecure about their weight and are always dieting... and always have one character who keeps making comments about their weight (Konata, Tomo, and Miyako).

Anyway.

It's interesting how they keep putting real objects into the anime: the clock, the teddy bear...

Yuno's so cute. ^_^

And now we see them make the nameplates.

Interesting use of the Game of Life spinner.

D'oh! The official subtitle says "Rroom".

Chidamari...

And now it creaks for the smallest one...

Miyako's cute, too. ^_^

Another one of those references to later episodes that show earlier events...

Those cookies look like Nilla Wafers.

Oops again: "Why is the rent on Miyako's room is cheaper?"

Oops 3: "pursue", not "pursuit", guys...

It's interesting that in a series about art, they don't make the patterns look like they're on fabric wrapped around someone's body.

That's kinda surreal, when they're walking to the matsuri.

And even more surreal, when they're at the matsuri, surrounded by Game of Life pegs... too bad the cars didn't follow the same theme. :D

Hmm... pouring the salts from a packet just doesn't have the same oomph.

Cute girls doing cute things.
You can really see this was made by Shaft here. It wasn't so apparent in the first episode.

Not really enjoying this. I'm not really sure why though as I usually have no problem with slice of life shows.

Can't say I approve of those fanservice-y shots of Yuno at the beginning. And this episode reminds me why I used to hate all Shaft art direction before watching Madoka, ef and Bakemonogatari.

Same here, I'll give it some episode but I'm not confident that I'll watch the whole thing.

"Maybe because Hiro-san is sitting here."

Hmm, this show is sure shaftizied.. I dunno, those gimmicks and fast cuts are kinda annoying sometimes as those are really not suited for this type of anime. Sometimes they overuse their style and it's very distracting for viewer. Sometimes this "forced creativity" can be somehow counterproductive. And that's precisely why I didn't enjoy this episode as I could.

The first half about apartment mystery was kinda boring but the second part with natsumatsuri was good I guess.

I just hope this gets better soon.

I am guessing the rainy day thing, Hiro was talking about, will be animated later?

Festival music for railroad crossing? Awesome idea.

Poor Miya, at least she ain't as poor as before. Lovely episode.

I can't say I like this. It's boring and totally unfunny. I'll try watching another few episodes just to give it one more chance, but I'm probably dropping this.

We are not even half-anime series is already the classic episode with the summer festival, wow! Already in the first episode we understand that Miyako is preponderant in the story is here already begins his climb to dominate far and wide in the narrative. I have noticed that as in the previous one there are also many references to popular Japanese customs and sayings. It is nice to discover how the sign of the housing complex in which the four protagonists live was born. The ending is very catchy, I already start to adore it, also the opening is nice.

Miyako saying about Hiro Weight related to Miyako apartment makes some one of best funny moment this episode.

Yoshinoya Sensei is really interesting character that makes their wonder apparently me too how their teacher have weird unique personality like that.

Apartment sign that their make have some character personality mark on it that can makes me related to each character.

It is just me that magical girl in yukata is Minky Momo?

That scene where Miyako reflection is the same as fox was a fantastic Capture from Hiro tales that yukata was possess by fox.

LOL Miyako when she hear hiro makes shaved ice, She bring a big bowl that ready to accommodate Shave Ice. Hiro you gonna fail at your diet again didn't you

SHAFT Done it again with their unique aspect from LIFE Board Game Spinner to Reflected Fox from Miyako, Fantastic Job SHAFT.

Apparently I like this anime now that have unique CGDCT in there. Hope SHAFT can make the same or even better episode. Can't wait to wacth next episode ^-^.

The new Hidamari Apartments sign looks nice. Good job, girls! :)

Yoshinoya is so hot. <3

Miyako: "I've never heard that sound before. Don't you think it's just due to Hiro's heavy weight?"

Hiro: "Strange. Maybe the flooring is slanted..."
Miyako: "Maybe it's because you're sitting there?"

Haha.

Magical Girl Minky fits Miyako perfectly.

The girls looked so cute in their yukatas. And Yoshinoya was very beautiful.

I liked that fireworks scene.
