| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- "Motorad, Takeoff" I blame a lot of the trouble in this ep on Shakti. She was WAY too naive. BESPA is a ruthless organization that chops ppl's heads off. She thinks that b/c she's related to Cronicle that he'll stop a major assault force? Sheesh! Unfortunately, her actions result in Uso's mother being captured by Katejina, who has become a MAJOR pain in the @$$. She always seems to be there to brush aside Uso or cause him pain. Oliver's death wasn't Shakti's fault, but it definetely seems like a waste. I think his suicidal attempt was a rash & illogical move. He's more valuabe to the League Militaire as a an experienced pilot & leader, than as human artillery. Poor Marbet, they were just married, too. D@mn you Tomino! You heartless monster! |

| You know, looking back at when I watched SEED and SEED Destiny, why did the battle scenes in Victory look much more interesting than the ones in SEED/Destiny? Probably the lack of reused scenes. Anyway, this reminds me of Sleggar Law, only that Sleggar's attempt was more effective. Oliver should aim for the bridge instead of the tires. |
| Oliver doing a kamikaze attack was sudden and seems like it wasn't a bit effective. Though the ending almost made me cry, because seeing Marvet like that was incredibly sad ;_; |

| I cried when Marbet cried. Knew it wasn't going to end happily for them from the start so I wasn't surprised, but I was expecting at least on or both to die near the final episodes and not this early. Oh no Odelo is fighting in an MS now. Please don't kill him off Tomino I love him he has to live through this. It will break my heart if he dies. T_T |

| So, Oliver died, I didn't see that coming! Marbet's reaction was very mature, even he being so close to her and that happening so close to their marriage. Looks like this purple haired woman will have more screentime from now on Poor Uso, he just met with his mom and now they're separated again... |

| A sacrifice à la Sleggar, but useless this time. It was weird in a sense, because it was something totally unexpected from Oliver, based on his "teachings" and usual behaviour. Someone needs to teach Shakti about Zanscare's governmental organisation. Chronicle is just above regular soldiers and his sister is a puppet, nothing more. I had nothing against the character but am starting to dislike how she is used to trigger problems/confrontations. Why are warships equipped with wheels now?! That looked stupid. 4/5 How will this only ship and its motorad (arf -_-") alone make a difference on Earth ? edit: Odelo in a MS? Wonder when he'll die. |
| Shakti is a fucking idiot and those Motorad ships are about as dumb as the MS-in-tires. Oliver's death was kinda sad, though, if a little bit lame. | The episode proved what was brutally obvious: kamikaze attacks are exceedingly ineffective in terms of tactical value. I guess Tomino really wanted to get rid of Oliver now. Shakti's lack of insight isn't even surprising any more. |
| Intense, awesome, emotional and any other adjectives you can think of. The "Pimp" Oliver suicide attack was out of nowhere and unfortunately accomplished nothing, but so what? We complain about character development, it's not fleshed out enough, and blah blah.. but Marbet's reaction was all we needed. That's what triggered my emotions, her reaction, and along with the fact they're expecting to have a kid.. what more development do we need? I've said this too many times.. but Jesus.. poor Uso. And a massive middle finger to Katejina. Go away. |
| Well, Oliver died a mostly pointless death, though the reactions to it were sad enough. "I'm entrusting our child to you!" - You didn't even have time to spend a whole night together back at Macedonia but alright Spaceships with tires are probably the most ridiculous thing in Gundam I've ever seen I also guess that Tomino couldn't have introduced Uso's mother without a plan to kill her later in the story in some spectacular way. Btw she could've just jumped away with Shakti instead of getting captured...but whatever At this point I'm wondering which of the characters will *not* die by the end of the show |
