Gotta disagree here, considering it's the purpose of said series. Usually some slice of life to develop characters and making the viewer, little by little, start caring for the characters to then put them on a difficult situation (typical example being death of course) to create the "feels".

Now, we may agree that someone might like more or less said type of anime, and that between them, there might be some that do the job right and some that doesn't... even that there are people that just don't get to care for the characters enough to really have "feels" for them... but I wouldn't call them pathetic for rating them high. If those "feels" get to the viewer, then the series can have a very big impact, which would can perfectly fine explain a 9 or 10.

Just saying to make this a little more interesting than just listing and one or two +1 post here and there xD
