| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nice, it's the ending of this arc. Strangely enough I have 95 episodes but MAL says there are 94. Anyways, the ending/ep 95. Was good, not too satisfying as I felt that Rurouni Kenshin has ended with the Makoto Shishio arc. What came after that was enjoyable but not as awesome. Edit: nevermind, seems like ep 95 is a special known as ep 95. It is an ending for Rurouni Kenshin. Seems weird to be separate :). |

| Overall, a pretty good show. I gave it a solid 7. I wish there less fillers. Season two (the Kyoto arc) was absolutely amazing, but everything before and after that was filler. Still a good watch though. |

| Rurouni Kenshin is my all time favorite anime. I'd give it a 9.5, but MAL doesn't go by .5 so I'll give it a 10. The Kyoto arc was absolutely flawless. The Tokyo arc (season 1) was decent. Not as good as season 2 but still fairly enjoyable. Season 3 was just unbearable, and is why I'd give it a 9.5. |
| This episode was a great ending to this arc. Heartfelt goodbyes are always so sad. I disagree that season 3 was "unbearable" for sure. IMO, it was better than season 1 in some ways - longer story arcs (rather than individual stories being resolved in 1-3 episodes), interesting character interaction, etc. The Kyoto arc is BY FAR the main reason to watch this series, though. It was simply fantastic and one of my favorite shounen stories. The rest was good; I'd say the Shougo/Christian arc of season 3 is the next best. But yeah, season 3 really has not been bad at all, just not spectacular or essential. I liked the new characters at least, and it gave me some serious feels at times. And I also loved seeing Misao so much! On to episode 95, then the Seisouhen OVA! |

| Started slow, but enjoyable. Kyoto arc was incredible. Everything after that was pretty middling... Overall, I give the show a 7/10. However, just for funsies, I'll rate everything per-arc: (All of the filler episodes were pretty much the same for me, they were good enough to break up the action, but also weren't ever really remarkable, so they all get a 6 out of 10.) (31 * 6) + (19 * 7) + (9 * 8) + (35 * 9) = 706 706 divided by 94 = 7.51063829787 Hmm... 7.5/10, pretty close to what I gave it. |

| I watched most of this series some years ago, up to most of the way through the Shishio/Kyoto story. I'm really glad I started it again and watched it all the way though, I really enjoyed it. Kenshin is an excellent main character, in my opinion. I really enjoyed the interactions between Kenshin and Saito, who both want the same things but go about achieving them in totally different ways. The pure filler episodes were enjoyable to me because I love the way that the characters in the "Kenshin Group" fit together, almost like a family. Rurouni Kenshin is a great anime, that it is. |

| It was a nice, relaxing anime. It had a lot of potential though, but they ruined it all with the fillers. I hear the manga is pretty good so it's a pity they didn't follow it through the end. I'm too lazy to read it so I'll leave it like this for now :D Kyoto arc was very good, I enjoyed it a lot. After it, the anime made like almost no sense, as you couldn't predict where it was going to. The Amakusa arc was not bad though. To sum up, I think they could have done a much better job adapting the manga, so I'm a bit dissapointed. Overall it's a 5/10 for me. |
| A pretty decent ending of this arc, but I can't say it was a good ending for the series! While it was intense and pretty great, it just lacked for being a proper ending to close down the series! Yea sure there are sequels and specials, but still for a long anime like this, you'd at least expect some kind of a better flowed ending than what we gotten. All in all a pretty nice anime I have to say, quite strong character and story development combined with a good portion of comedy and history! Definitely a fun watch! |

| A big explosion from Jinpu, and then a big explosion wave in a spiral from Kenshin's sword. Then two explosions meet and the world is saved. Ugh. The business guy was a creep, getting the other guy to kill himself. That old guy was some mystical being. I didn't realize the end of this arc would be so soon (like I actually figured it didn't end and got canceled before the arc ended). I hated this arc and the one before (Divine Elixir/Black Knights). I liked the Christian arc and the one with Daigoro. Pre-Kyoto was a little worse than these about half the time, though not as bad as these last two arcs. Kyoto was pretty good but still kind of silly and a little longer than I would have liked it to be. The series gets a 7 as a whole, just too much bad comedy, pointless explanations and regurgitations, and progressively more magic and magic-like powers (even Kenshin's swordplay). |

| Well, Feng Shui did at least have some more meat on its bones than the Black Knights, but a lack of a fleshed out villain hurt it. Black Knights was an absolute low for this anime, glad at least the final arc wasn't as bad. From the post Kyoto arcs, Katsu Kaishu was my favorite, followed by Shimabara, finally Feng Shui and Black Knights. Indeed, some of these arcs are more interesting than the earlier pre-Kyoto ones (even some of the canon ones like Takeda Kanryu). Wondering why episode 95 is missing from MAL? The final episode, 95, had a crazy nostalgic feeling to it, and some really nice shots (I think Studio Gallop was flexing on that shot of Megumi wrapping a bandage around Sano's hand at the beginning). Or some juxtaposition of the sea against something that looked like an anime background, and our characters animated over it, it was very pleasant to look at. And Kaoru holding Kenshin's hand in the minshuku was sweet. To some degree, this "life goes on" kind of ending is more satisfying than the manga epilogue, which just feels like an "obvious" conclusion. |

Well , the Episode state that it's taking place in late Summer , so around 1 month after the end of the Kyoto Arc , and i don't remember if a peculiar timeline is mentioned in the fillers post-Kyoto... I think it's more likely for this Episode to be a side-story somewhere during the fillers rather than a Sequel (from a timeline standpoint).

| @Alexioos95 yeah I don't think there are timelines for those 4 arcs, guess Kenshin had a very busy summer fighting the Europeans, the Chinese, the Christians and the Tokugawa remnants 😆 |
