THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Okay, I think I'm into this now. At least more than in ep 1. I knew Funai would screw Kaiji over, that was for sure. Didn't feel bored this time, it was actually quite interesting and I'm looking forward to the Showdown. |

Yeah definately saw that one coming. :) It's indeed getting interesting now, I wonder how the three of them will do? It seems like Kaiji has a plan. |

Man it takes some skill to make a game of rock paper scissors interesting! But they pulled it off! I love the emotion in this series. They really did a great job of portraying people who are close to losing everything. Yea the backstabbing was obvious, but they still did a great job on it. Can't wait for episode 3! |

That was great. Funai's plan was really obvious, kinda made me wonder how Kaiji actually got fooled. But i really wanna see how his plan will end up next episode. I'm expecting epicness. I'm still not really fond of the art style, but it's slowly growing on me. |

Yeah cards, star chips, a cruise ship, main character gets screwed over by someone he trusts yet obviously shouldn't have... I'm not sure why I liked this but didn't like Yugioh. Maybe its Kaiji or the presontation... |

Really great episode. The atmosphere and music makes it very exciting. I knew that guy would fool Kaiji, it was obvious. |

I say this right from the off - Kaiji is one of those shows that you'll either really love or hate. I've read up to the start of the 17 steps (mahjong) arc in the Manga - and I am fucking loving it! If you're not really sure about it, just stick with it for a bit as it might take a little while to heat up for some people. But man, once it does it fuckin' BURNS! The manga has screwed my head in so many times with some of the most FLIPPED OUT, INSANE plot twists and turns I have ever seen! Anyone who has read up past the E-card (Emperor card) arc will know exactly what I mean! :) |

Okay ahhaa. The first strategy that came to my mind was teaming up with someone, then skaming them -_- And if it had happened once, then I would have then the next time put down a card that would have won against the card that would have won against me :> Take one last gamble.. either that or I would have ran away :P |

Funai screwing Kaiji was so obvious =P I'm starting to liking this anime, this episode was really interesting. Btw, did anyone else remembered Yu-Gi-Oh, when they talked about the stars? =P |

I think I'm starting to really like this show. It's a bit complicated so far, but it's really interesting. ![]() |
