Because the histories of this category are beautiful ^^

Even though im a guy i feel that shoujo stories carry more feelings than any other kind of series (with the exception of a few like hajime no ippo lol) I really identify myself with those feelings im also a romantic haha and it is definitely weird to be the minority when most of my friends who like anime `are not really into it. I love the characters, the cute love settings, the plots, when its anime the visuals and animation, and I specially love that I am able to feel happy for the characters. I don't think im the only one here that feels this way but for me shoujo lets me visit stages in life (mostly high school settings) in where I was not really able to experience these kind of stories and i wish i could have had. Overall shoujo and slice of life are my favorite kind of manga/anime so if anyone has good recommendations please do messages me or comment on my profile =)

Anything that can send me to bed with a (badly done) ballet step, giggling, and can make me dream while hugging my pillow is worth loving :3 I laugh, i cry, i experirnce unknown emotions together with the characters. So yeah,what's not to love about shoujo ^^?

The reason why I enjoy shojo is that well I like a good romance once in a while as with all the action and sci-fi stuff, its nice to break that with a good romance.

I find the girls to be better written and cuter than in most shonen manga which as a straight male is of great interest to me.
Also gives "that feel" all up in my chest when some real romantic shit goes down

It's weird, sometimes I'm just in the mood for something sweet, romantic, and/or light-hearted.
There's lots of romance anime out there, but sometimes I want to give ecchi 'romance' a break, and watch something a little more tailored to my gender demographic.

However, I know that there are so many types of shoujo. I love the dark ones too.

But I don't like smut. :/
