I love when they experiments with art styles to fit the storytelling. But this one was just scattered. It was more like the artists wanted to put in all art styles they could think of without really thinking it through.

Still I think the anime have some promise, but I really hope they calm down and make the art more whole. Try fitting the beautiful art styles in to the more powerful scenes than just put them in rapidly.

I like the art & the characters seem okay but I'd be hard pressed to tell someone what happened in this episode, lol.

Hmm, SHAFT did change Hiro's personality a lot... The convo with Yuuko in the church was also a LOT shorter, and different.
But meh, I guess it was a good episode.

Kinda confused with everything that went on in just episode.
And that girl that sits in the train station is just stupid.

I feel like this is going to tame on an emotional ride. It should be interesting.

Does anyone know the title of the opening of Episode 1? It isn't euphoric field...since there is no official opening for ep 1.

The BGM played between 1:27 to 2:57 - which I guess is called the opening of episode 1? Even wikipedia quoted it, but no title of the song was given. I checked out the both soundtracks and could not find it. Anyone know the title of the song?

I'm already VERY interested... and I'm a huge sucker for symbolism and abstract elements within animation.

Very gorgeous & fitting for this month (December ^^)...

We'll see if I remain impressed as the series continues...

I am really confused lol. The fact that there are multiple time periods going on at once is screwing me up. On the upside: I really like the artwork to this and hopefully I'll understand it a bit more.

Character models seem a bit strange, but I can look past that. So much development for just the first episode!! Cant get out of my head that Hiro is Yabecchi

So is there a reason for the two lucky star references in this episode (same producer/etc) or is it just for shits and giggles?

Good animation, though it wasn't anything too special overall. Does Chihiro forget everything each day so she writes it down or something?

Lots of characters in this show, and the time period thing caught me off guard.

The art and music were really nice. Overall, I'm interested in this show.

Haha, you can just tell it's Shaft, but at least they lowered the crazy sensibilities so that it's not over-the-top, like Bakemonogatari or Arakawa.

I wonder if I can expect tear-jerking moments like Clannad gave.

yea, the art was surprising but i was almost sleeping. kinda disappointment, but i'll watch some more episodes.

SO many characters! Well it seems interesting and it will get better as soon as they start focusing on each relationship.

On a side note, the art is simply BEAUTIFUL!
