Hangetsu was an odd guy even in the past lol, but I wonder why he wants Yuuhi to surpass him even though he knows that they'll be against him. Also, those golems are starting to become even more weird.

He doesn't want to be against them, but he knows their plans go against his sense of justice, meaning he can't stay true to himself if he doesn't do everything he can to defeat them. He doesn't want to see them defeated however, and thus he tells Yuuhi to become stronger than him. It's pretty simple.

A bit sad backstory to Hangetsu and yeah he know alright. But I can't believe he's helping his enemies to win over him, he really is not an ally of justice.
