About time we got some slaps in this show. Its not Gundam without a SLAP.

Also, the book called 'On Spacenoid Women' had me chuckling.

Anyone who didnt see Burning end up, well, burning in the end must be a wee bit naive and innocent. I hope Gundam scarred your little minds. Everyone else, like me, was getting tired of the drawn out death I guess.

Great episode, the first half was a little slow paced, leaning towards comic relief, however the second half was incredible, and I wasn't expecting Lieutenent Burning death, caught me by surprise, he was a cool character.

Cool characters always die. :(
Burning reminds me of Roy Focker. But I bet they would rather die like this than on some lousy bed somewhere...

I was actually kinda peeved by how they went about killing him.
I mean, its one thing to kill a cool character suddenly...Ala Roy Folker.

Its another to kill a cool character but straight out tell you he is about to die...like this.

It was slowly obvious through the episode, but how it happened was a surprise. What broke/blew up?! That sucked....!

And HELL YEAH MEN OF DESTINY!

Kou and Keith are cool buddies. I liked their little talk in Kou's room (waaah, carrots all over the floor). Lol @ Kou's books.

It was pretty random. A single bullet jammed some gear and thus the ship blew up? Twas obvious that was going to happen, but it still struck me as a bit unbelievable. I mean, if you get a stone jammed in your car, does it blow up? I guess what made it really unbelievable was that it happened right as he was about to reveal their ghastly plan. Too convenient I guess, or maybe I'm just being a hyper-critical douche :D

This is what happens you give a random soldier the secrets of the master plan and then sends him to battle. What really got me laughing is, right after he read a particular passage of the document that made him go "Oh my god!" is when he died.

I knew he would die sooner or later haha

Too bad, I liked him. And yes, he reminded me of Focker too!

Well, I'm not liking this series too much... But as it's important to know the whole Gundam story, I'm going to watch it until the end. The animation is the only good thing about this series.

Lmao, "On Spacenoid Women".

The first half of this episode was hilarious.

Also, BURNING-TAIIIIIIIIIIII

I think the death of Burning just stole the title for the most corny Gundam death ever

Another ace episode!

New OP/ED, i kinda like the first opening, but the 2nd OP will probably grow on me.

Nina has a nice figure if i may add ^^

Lol what the hell is Kou reading XD

Bright Slaps!!! Kelly gave us Bright Punch, and now Burning gives us Bright Slaps.

Kou and Keith has gotten pretty good. Cima couldn't do a thing on them. After that wonderful speech, why the hell did Burning had to die like that :(

I understand it would have put the enemy at a disadvantage after getting some very important documents about Operation Stardust. Still i think his death was cheap as well.

Wouldn't the mobile suit at least warn him that something's wrong about his suit?? I remember Zeta or ZZ had this warning when there's something wrong with their suit. No way in hell this would have happened without any warning. Shame just as when Burning wanting to meet his wife again, he dies without reading the letter :

Definitely gave me a little Zeta like feel in this episode.

RIP Captain Burning.

Next episode we'll see how Gato proceeds in his plans.

I just wish they didn't shove the death flags in your face. When they kept showing the gears of his GM, it was 100% sure he would die. It was an interesting way to kill off a character though.

I'm actually surprised Burning didn't die earlier in the show . It's still sad though..

I'm curious to see how his death will affect the tone of the anime from this episode on. Well there's only 5 eps left so I'd expect it to get a little heavier gearing towards the finale anyways.

Burning almost escaped his death-flag. For a while I thought he did escape, then they showed the damage to his GM...

They got me too. With all this focus on him, I knew he would die but then they lead me to give up my forecast to better caught me off guard.
People complain about "death flags", but I often read complaints about deaths who happen with no foreseeable sign too.
Anyway, the little Kô already lost 2 models. Who'll be the next one? Monsha? XD (too soon for Gato)

The Burning punch was not cool at all, no reason to discharge your stress on your team.

Question: is it normal to find detailed op.plans in any soldier's MS?

That tiny little defect, seen above, is forgiven after a similar incident. The narrative is obliged to navigate between situational passages and other unpublished, comes out something really good. While telegraphed, the ending is well told. Great armed conflict, the plot more and more addictive. Catchy new opening and a new ending.

RIP Burning!

I thought Burning escaped his flags at first but then they just go and kill him anyway, and in the dumbest and most anticlimactic way possible at that. GMs are fucking trash, man.

Some minor damage near the cockpit and it blows up... That has to be some really awful design, like... put anything that could explode far from where the pilot is going to be, maybe?

It kinda bothers me that in a show about fictional war machines, the machines themselves are kinda shitty. It doesn't have to be realistic, it just doesn't have to be this stupid.

Just how much budget did they have to make a 2nd OP in a 13-ep OVA? o_O

Kou's playful exchanges with Nina are still cringeworthy, I just can't adjust myself to this romance, I'm always laughing at them.

I giggled when the captain came to drink alcohol in a medical room xD

Everything involving carrots was also cringeworthy.

Kou borrowed a book about women lmao, I wouldn't do it with personal credentials. It backfired. Kou really is a teenager at heart.

Cima's design and crew is striking me as barbaric in the most cartoonish sense. It's made to show that she's special and all but that looks kinda laughable.

It's strange that Monsha and others never got to participate in the skirmish. Weren't they close to Birmingham?

Death flags for captain Burning were pretty obvious (the letter, generally a lot of screen time), but I didn't expect him to die like that (especially after that silly friendly talk about photos). It was very sad. Good execution. Captains always die in space shows, don't they? Lt. Burning...burned in the cockpit. He should've ejected.

The collaborationist (?) ship conspiring with Zeon is probably indicative of the dynamics in the Federation that lead to the emergence of Titans.

Oh, and a new ED song.

I wonder if Gato will have enough screen time to develop into anything more than a mighty opponent who trusts in Zeon.

Finally, more Gundam SLAPS. I really missed them. Well besides the obvious death flag, it was an ok episode.

All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath.

Only my will to finish this is keeping me watching. Ever since the crew left Earth, the show is getting worse and worse. Now they even unnecessarily changed the OP and ED which I liked for some other songs which aren't as good and on top of that killed Burning, one of few characters I liked (the others are Mora and Gato).

In previous Gundams if a mobile suit was going to explode or not was always kind of random, but the pilot ALWAYS knew what was going to happen and when the damage wasn't "fatal" (leads to an explosion) the pilot would know. Then why this time it wasn't like this? Feels forced
