Gosho Aoyama, definitely. He has such a specific way of drawing eyes and details. Although I didn't really like the beggining when characters had huge ears and were really spiky, but as the series progresses, art definitely improves.

Naoki Urasawa also has a nice style, completely realistic. Someone might need some time to get used to art, but I definitely like it.

Bastard, Vagabond, Trinity Blood, Shin Angyo Onshi, and Berserk all have some truly amazing artwork.

Simply breathtaking in some cases.

No doubt Samura Hiroaki. Samura is just an astounding observer of humans. He’s one of the most excellent artists our generation have got. He’s a brilliant storyteller though.
And there are some who also deserve the award, of which the following is Asano Inio, Inoue Takehiko, Nihei Tsutomu.

Maybe I'm a little bias because I love her stories, but I LOVE the amount of fine detail Kaoru Mori puts into all of her artwork. I'm pretty sure she does it all by hand, including her awesome use of crosshatching.

Plus her anatomy and facial expressions are really wonderful too.

Kaoru Mori - She really does her homework when it comes to costumes, down to the patterns she uses. Otoyomegatari is especially well made.

Inue Takehiko - His style has evolved with time into something fantastic and i don't only mean his ink work but his panel arrangement too.

Miura Kentaro - The initial volumes of Berserk are not so great, but he is another author who has evolved with time. I like the mixture of western elements in his work and he really can draw epic panoramas.

Aki Irie - I simply love her retro whimsical style, it's very expressive and well construct. She has the ability to tell a story without relying on words.

Katsuhiro Otomo. I don't need an argument and if you want proof then I recommend reading all six volumes of Akira.

I agree Otomo is hands down is the best if not one of the best, but I still feel that there is an artistics talent that gets over looked because of his story work, it's Tsutomu Nihei.

This is from Abara.

That is pretty normal, you know. Still, thanks for the name bro.

I'll add to my previous two, Amano Akira. While I wouldn't call her the best, I really like the way she draws, especially at around the end of KHR. Here's an example:

The way she draws the eyes and the hair really stand out to me. Also, the way she drew Xanxus' gun was awesome:

I'd be more impressed with Ikegami if it didn't feel like he alternated between the same 4 templates for facial expressions. After the first 20 chapters of Sanctuary it was like I was looking at the same one over and over again.

I like the guy who does Gantz. He's improved so much from when he started Hen.

And Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, holy shiiiit. If you've ever seen something from his art book Der Mond, you know just how damn good he is.

There's a bunch of others too, but probably nothing everyone else hasn't covered.

Clamp and Yana Toboso. I can stare at their drawings for ages, they're really astounding (especially Clamp's).
Then... maybe it's just a matter of taste, but I'd add Takeshi Obata and Yuusuke Murata too.

if you think this is good, wait till you see the chapter after this thats 40 pages long and in full color., even in black and white the art is so smooth and polished
I second this. Reading One punch man is almost reading an animated manga (if that makes sense) the art is astonishing.

Also agree with this.
A lot of chapters just build up page by page into this crazy action sequence like the gif shown. Amazing art on top of that just blows the mind.

Thought so. That's the only good story that Masasumi wrote himself. Used clichés, but used them well and managed to be unpredictable. His cliché style didn't work out as good in Green Blood, despite the promising setting. Dude's art is always impeccable though. That alone makes his works worthwhile. He's gotta be top ten manga artists.
