THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Beautiful episode of large war scales! Natalia and her situation made me T_T a lot. So sad this scenario of hers. Damn the people for lying about it! Let's do the review.

The beginning of the episode starts out very well. The plane comes and what great model and design. I liked it because it reminds of certain features from the fighter plane known as AV-Harrier. The whole episode starts in Chaos! I still could not believe to be seeing St-Binah in such a state as Akzeriuth. My jaw was dropped as the only thing we can do is to watch the people suffer and the village sinking deep deep into the Quliphot (forgot the exact name).

Very impressed in this series by some control panels and the one in the plane was very well done. Design and all made me think a little of Macross Frontier. So the Luke gang lands in St-Binah but when the village is already in the Quliphot. They rescue Field Marshal Govern and the people that survived. MOst beautiful and best thing gave me T_T (really I must be very emotional in anime since finding out about it) that is because Luke finally, finally saves someone's life and we can all see that. Which is a very nice move of Luke for change. I never though he would change this much after episode 8. The change is astronomical!

Then the whole village dissolves into pieces and sink into the seas of the Quliphot. :( Booooooooooooo! This sucks. Someone please get into this anime and kill Van ASAP! He is just a terrible terrible man! He must be killed for at least all he killed with his arrogant plans.

The large scale war that the Luke gang (for those who do know what I mean look at my spoiler and will know who is the Luke gang) saw during their flight on the plane was astounding! It was not only made better than in some movies I saw but it was well drawn, shown and art was breathtaking. VERY WELL DONE! I liked it a lot!

Obvious when Luke and Natalia along with Tears/Guy/Mieu have reached the kingdom of Kimlasca the worst comes. All are shocked at first for they were really gullible in believing Mohs about the deaths of Natalia and Luke. They suddenly learn all the truth about Mohs and his stupid wart ideal fueled by only the Score and most likely his personal ambitions. Everything was going nice and smooth to explain until that piece of %$%%^$%^$$ Mohs came and interrupted all. Before I knew what was going on Natalia and Luke are treated as fakes and sent to jail by Mohs orders.

Big question Why was everyone so STUPID that they did just kill Mohs right there? I mean Tears chants a sleep spell and then you take a sword and you just stab the piece of sh** to kill him. Simple and would save so much trouble. Guess no one bothered. That was such a good chance, Mohs should have been killed right there. In the meantime Jade/Ion/Anise got to Peona to get help in this whole cause.

I liked when the guards came with Mr. thinks he is important for his majesty (little midget f******) comes to Luke/Natalia with two glasses of wine. At this point I would not even drink that. Put it this way wine+poison= equals too much being used to assassinate royalty in the medieval times. So unless Luke and Natalia are stupid they would drink it. Exactly that happens anyways, Luke knocks it off. I knew that Guy and Tears would come, Tear's 7th phonic artes are too powerful for stupid guard grunts. Sleep spell! Zzzzzzzzzz sleep nice suckers!

The next part is what made me T_T for sometime. It was when I understood Natalia saying to her father "Otosa atashi honto anato-no musume?" Then stupid stupid Mohs demands from the maid that took care of Natalia and delivered her to the mother who was Queen at that time to tell all the truth. The next thing that stirred within me Rage, Unfair, Betrayal, Lies, Deception, Sadness, finally a deep knife in the heart. How could they do this to Natalia, I did not like her at the beginning but this episode made me 360 degrees into Natalia and a strong sense of feeling really bad for her and being her #1 support in this whole affair. Poor, poor Natalia and very sad for her. T_T So will she find her real mother in the end? What about the father? Who is he?

Well before I know it Mohs summons Dist and Largo. I can never hate the looks of Dist he always is nice to see around and like I said before because of Jade's past reveled and what Dist has done for Anise I cannot hate him. Never would be able to. However happy I was that Asch came in to save them. Largo and Dist called him traitor but he says that Dist made a deal with Van at some point so Largo did not like that at all.

I don't know why but I T_T just because all the people got suddenly on Natalia's side when the guards tried to stop her escape with Luke. I most likely felt like that because Natalia was though to be a fake princess yet people believed in her not for her role nor title but for her character, her compassion and what she has done/cared for. That my friends no one can trick into. People see and feel but never will they be changed about a person if that person was always good them. Natalia always did her best.

Great episode! 10/5 for me. In other words I refuse to give it 100%, I give it 200%!

1.Natalia when she was snatched from her real mother. Me feel like this :(
2.Great War, one of the best scenes in anime.
3.The plane is amazing!

Yes, the Albiore is amazing~

But apart from the CGM; this episode throws a lot at the viewer, and serves as a nice halfway point of the series, and the game (though I'm not too sure if this part is the exact middle of the game, I don't remember).

Here's hoping for the rest of the series to stay the same quality.

They're fine for the more important parts and they fit within the forum's table xD
They are only snapshots anyway; do you use the HD RAW for them?

I just do ss for scenes I find are really nice, or ones I find funny/interesting.

Yes HD raw but sometimes not always available. This time lucky, I got one good. Next episode looks more action again!

Woah big revealations, is it possible that Natalia really isn't the kings daughter? So now they have no way to stop the war diplomatically, it will be interesting to see how they do it.

Where did Asch come from and why were Dist and Largo there, I don't understand... Furthermore, what does Van want to achieve having the two nations lose their armies?

Developing a bit too fast...? Or is it the above mentioned chaos... prior to something very bad happening...

It's not that they came out of nowhere. Once you get an understanding of who is working for who and where loyalties lie, then you'll understand why all the God-Generals are appearing every now and then randomly.

It's definitely confusing with how they are presenting things in the anime. A shit load of stuff is happening very quickly. It's a lot of game material to cover in 25-26 episodes, depending on what they want to show.

Asch just likes showing wherever he is needed like the walking plot device he is. It is never mentioned clearly, but it is assumed that Asch keeps tabs with what the "heroes" are doing, possibly through the three Dark Wing buffons. AND he has that nifty ability to link with Luke whenever he wants.

Largo and Dist are present because they ARE the God Generals of the Order of Lorelai, and the Grand Maestro is there. Basically, Mohs brought Dist with him (Dist agreed because he thought he could see Jade), who in turn dragged Largo along to Baticul. Of course, the writer just wanted Largo in there because then we have the "OMGWTF DOES LARGO HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH NATALIA !!!11!" moment.

Next Episode: Guy's backstory is finally FINALLY completely revealed.

Natalia has received the 'False Princess' title

My thoughts on this episode:

- Lots of stuff from the game's story were cut short, altered, or removed completely (Check below for more details, but of course it's spoilerific).

- Definitely liked the scene where the armies clash. IIRC it's exactly the same as the one in the game, but with better quality. Also, the Albiore looks awesome.

Yeah, 26 episodes can't exactly cover the whole story without alterations, but I think a bit too much was cut out in this episode.

Next episode, as seen in the preview, will definitely reveal the rest of Guy's past. Also...

Anyway, I'll see what happens here, since it seems a good amount of parts are being altered and removed in order to fit it all into 26 episodes. Still, I'm hoping that the quality, at least, will remain the same, if not get better.

Well, I knew my memory told me a lot was skipped, but I didn't realized they skipped all THAT. This game really was long. But yeah, as you say, Luke's inquiry wasn't supposed to be there only for Jade to bitch him out, but rather to make them think of a plan.

I have an idea of where they will be going by the looks of it :

An awesome episode! Real action. I feel more respect to Natalia now that I know she has helped the citizens while being a princess. And she really had enough courage to accept the fact that her parents are actually not hers and that she isn't of royal blood.
And, Granny, stop calling her Meryl - she has weared that name only for several days of her life, huh!

Easily the best episode yet. I would have loved this episode, but they had to throw in that twist regarding Natalia. I think it was just a pretty deus ex way to try and put everyone against Natalia, but everything else regarding the politics was cool. One question though: How is Dist betraying Van a bad thing if it helps the Outer Lands get destroyed?

Because Mohs is NOT destroying the Outer Lands, and helping Mohs is no longer necessary for Van's plan. Actually Mohs and Van have opposite objectives, even though their temporary goals will sometimes overlap. The only marginal benefit Van can get from this is that it will get Luke and the gang off his back, but Van actually doesn't gives a crap about them anyway, in the typical "bah, you suck and you can't stop me anyway" way most of those antagonists act.

Didn't expect the Natalia revelation. It would seem that this would cause a civil war almost. How did Mohs just magically pull this out of nowhere? Luke angsting is starting to piss me off but he isn't that bad yet.

Shit Hits the Fan 2.0

And anyways, the writers didn't do the research - freefall=no gravity. Oh well. Minor major detail.
