Really melancholy. Any ep w/o Nagi is sad, really sad. The only highlight for me was learning a very important lesson. DO NOT F*CK WITH ZANGE! I think she just added 10 pts to her hotness stats. But seriously, Nagi, come back PLEASE! This is definitely one of my fav shows of the season. |

I hope shes not the spirit of somebody who committed suicide, that would suck. Hopefully the season ends well, leaving it open for a possible 2nd season. if you recall properly, the Nagi which Jin met when he was a kid is an adult (well, at least she looks taller than the Nagi we have now) the Nagi now also said she doesn't remember meeting Jin in the past.. so in conclusion, Nagi has 2 identities. the real Nagi is the God Nagi(in miko clothes), and the teen Nagi(the Nagi we have now) is the spirit of a girl who commited suicide.. there's a possibility that she was pregnant when she commited suicide? just my speculation tho.. about the cat absorption, it seems that the God Nagi usually takes over the body when something shocking happens to Nagi.. first the cat's death, and lately Daitetsu's explanation of the cutting down of the shinboku.. Well considering the tree is the real Nagi (god nagi) you could say that the Nagi we see now is a spirit that took over the real Nagi's body (the tree sculpture). This is why the real Nagi can easily force the other to switch places with her. Either that or the second Nagi is a sister since the tree was cut (similar to how Zange was born). But then again there are 3 family's protecting the shrine, so there could possibly be 3 gods; Nagi, Nagi's other self, and Zange. The current Nagi could also be a manifestation of all the people and animals that died in the past and that where absorbed by the tree. That would explain why she didn't understand much when she was "born" into Jin's life. |

Great episode! A sad one at that, and very emotional overall. The beginning was somewhat the usual atmosphere with the exception of Nagi not being around, and it was great how Zange took care of those guys and explained to Jin somewhat what the situation is like. Afterwards the episode became somewhat sad (The music, emotion, plot, actions, weather), really made it seem that you lost someone. Wonder whe Nagi is right now? And what will the outcome of the anime be? All I know is that in the next episode Jin goes "dere" or loving in this case. Can't wait to see the next one! ![]() |

velcom said: i thought this was a great episode, i never expected to see this series get so emotional and im glad it did. i'm still annoyed they are cramming most of the story into 3 episodes they never should have made so much pointless comedy eps they really brought down the series for me. These past 2 eps have definately made me happier about the series and improved a lot. Unlike everyone else i sure hope they don't make a second season. I think they need to finish it with the next episode and another season will most likely ruin it for me. This is a series i believe needs to be short. Exactly my thoughts after watching this episode. Kiseki said: there were a lot scenes that makes me love animes, they dont have great impact to the story or are useful, but they give me this realistic feeling i got. When jin leave the house, close but open the door, or watch the tv swtich the channels etc it supports this sad episode greatly. I totally agree. Those details made this episode very deep and realistic. 10/10 |

So much stuff between the lines in this episode, really did feel like you were transported as yourself into Jin's melancholy. Just the way he reinacted lots of Nagi's routines (TV), reflecting on memories (the table where Nagi got her wand stuck) and the fact he didn't answer the phone. I need a cup of tea just to get my spirit up after that episode. It's nice to see a show can do both sad and comedic atmospheres. 5/5 |

Still so sad sad. please report all angel999 duplicate accounts to the mods asap |

I hope she didn't disappear completely! Terry Pratchett writes that gods can dissapear when they have no believers. And somehow all gods start as lower spirits without followers. |

This episode.. Lots of rainfall!! It appears that Mikuriya Jin is very tired and is unhappy. Apparently, Nagi has gone missing after her status as a deity is questioned. Aside from the depressing part.. Zange Punch!!! It seems that Jin's life-risking deliquent attacks were totally unnecessary, because Zange-chan can throw electrical punches. She took out 3 delinquents emptied-handed in one go. Pretty strong.. |

I found the family he met funny but otherwise a very somber episode(I blame the rain), hope it has a good ending, normally these types of episodes are only half of the final episode so I was glad to see this wasn't rushed. My anime list My claimed anime My claimed character |

More developments! I can officially say that I love this anime! ...I'm thinking there's some interesting past with these 2 goddesses... More so with Nagi. I still think she's a true deity though, not just some spirit. Hanging? I think that was just thrown in to deceive people. But maybe there's some close ties with Nagi regarding those incidents. Hey! I knew it! Zange-chan kicks ass! I came to learn that all cute characters are deceiving in some way ^^ There's plenty of manga material to write about, so a 2nd season is feasible. I wonder how they'll end this one though. |
